Jessica Drew by the fireplace

What could be cozier than a nice seat by a roaring fire? How about a nice seat by a roaring fire with a nice smokey Russian tea and a thick stew which smells more of paprika than beef? No?

How about all of this without the dreadful head, shoulder and backaches? And how about we forget the low fever which doesn't seem to want to go away? Sometimes being immune to nearly all poisons and toxins really sucks. After all what are pain killers but a mild and controlled toxin? Oh well, there's always tea right?

One sick P.I./Super hero/Sercet Agent seeking comfort, perhaps some conversation would be better than tea?

It's the smell that gets to Cobb. It must be interesting, because when he's doing work on the PASVID it takes a bomb going off right outside his window brought by a dragon to alert him to anything wrong.

"..Woof- That's alot of spices. Bar set you up with that?"

Something about the idea of childhood comforts brings him back to his childhood-and she can probably read the disgust on her face, "...I was always partial to corn beef and potatoes."

"...More of an Irish thing." Cobb says, "I never liked Borscht (http://www.cooking.com/recipes-and-more/recipes/Russian-Steppe-Beef-Borscht-recipe-3608.aspx)."

"Paprikash (http://www.cooking.com/recipes-and-more/recipes/Pork-Paprikash-recipe-2232.aspx)- that's a stew right? I had it as a stew. That was good.">

"...You do look a little green around the gills to me." He peers at her, "...Something going around?"

There is a slight edge of nervousness he manages to hide fairly well underneath his nonchalance. Only somebody trained in catching lies could spot it right? Because y'know-diseases from other worlds...would possibly kill you right?

Cobb frowns before chuckling, "...Hell. Time stops and I came out of a situation I'd need to prep myself for before going back into it. THis place chooses the worst times to show up-didn't think it liked to fuck with people too."

"...You ah-take any tylenol or anything?"

[identity profile] bestinbusiness.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)

"...Don't suppose that's contagious? I can't have a headache without taking six kinds of tylenol but that's a side effect of the-"

"well, it's a side effect."

[identity profile] bestinbusiness.livejournal.com 2010-12-15 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)

He shakes his head, " Side effect of working with hazardous chemicals. Technically. Nothing else works."

Cobb holds out his hand anyway, grinning-before he shakes it upside down, "...Dom Cobb, Securities, master of the virtual handshake."

"... I can add-"

Well, if she's a Private Eye she might not appreciate the whole "professional thief" business.

"...Uh-currently Brussels, 2011."
