Christmas is always a hectic time at CID - between the increase in robberies and the increase in dust-ups at home, it's a wonder anyone stays away from the Met this time of year. This would be why there is a young WPC drowsing over her meal at the bar - she missed lunch while dealing with the distraught mother of a boy caught red-handed with a backpack full of stolen items. When she found this place, it was a tossup between finding a meal and finding a bed, and she chose food.

Perhaps she chose poorly?

That lady certainly doesn't look 100%. And it is crazy-flu season.

"Ma'am?" says the green youth with the blue uniform jumpsuit and the electric guitar. "Are you all right?"

"..." She blinks at him, blearily, wondering vaguely if this isn't a trick question. "I'm not sure."

Enzo cracks a grin. "Don't worry, I'm not a hallucination. You just look worn out, is all. And there's flu going around."

"Oh, no, just a long day at work." She doesn't ask about the green, because in a place that has rats serving food, that's really not all that odd once it's sorted that it really is supposed to be that way. It's not like he's an axe murderer.

Unlike some other people she's run into.

Well, there's also the fact that he looks kind of like a living plastic mannequin. But, same argument as above, really.

"Okay. You should be careful, though. It's really weird flu around here."
