[OOM: Before his first entrance, Ben has some thinking to do. Before this post, Reed creeps out Ben and proves his mighty hacker skillz.]

The front door opens to let in a more travel stained Ben today. He's still go this big backpack and is wearing cargo shorts and a black t-shirt. He's gone through more than half the United States in four days, most of it by car or by foot, and he's ready for a little break, especially after Arizona's blaring sun. Some cool lemon aid or iced tea would just be perfect he thinks and strips right in.

Hey Ben's been hitting gas station sinks for clean up any chance he gets. Of course by this time his sense of smell might not be the best.

Well, sorry this boy is about to be very rude, but he's going to the bar first and then coming back with a box of shower packers, something a bit like an extra large wet napkin packet, and presenting the box to this man.

"Dude...."

"Yeah...," he says looking down. Fortunately Ben is pretty quick on the uptake saving Tyler from any further rudeness. One quick sniff check and he replies, "Oh sorry," before grabbing the box and his backpack for a change of clothes and runs for the bathroom.

Several minutes later he returns and mumbles an embarrassed, "Thanks."

"Don't mention it."

The plants in the bar proper will recover soon enough, and he's wiping his nose clean already from the smell.

"My name's Ben," he says to fill the awkward. "I'm hitchhiking across America so I'm not at my best."

"Tyler, Tyler Marlocke," He replies, smiling at how this guy is taking it so well. "What's hitchhiking and why're you using it to get across America."

"Begging rides from strangers. I go to school in New York but I'm meeting a friend in Nevada so I thought I'd see what I can of the country and take some time to think. My full name's Ben Grimm by the way." Hey if the kids going to give him his full name, might as well return the favor.

...There is no polite way to say 'I know what you're going to look like in 20 years' at all. Thank you Milliways.

Just a mildly surprised look at the last name from him.

"Pleased to meetcha, ...do I call you Mr. Grimm, or Ben?"

NO there isn't and in this particular Ben's case, ti's much sooner than 20 years.

"Oh just Ben is fine." It might be worth noting he doesn't have that think East Side accent, maybe he develops it later?

Maybe this one just grew up differently than the other Ben, it is still noted.

"Cool," Tyler grins, "What kind of stuff didja see while you were travelling?"

"Nothing that big. Mostly people just living their lives. It's funny how alike we all are."

"Maybe that's the big thing you saw."

Ben squints his eyes in concentration before replying, "That could be. Wow, never thought of that. You're pretty smart."

"That's what Uncle Ray says when he sees my report card. ...well. Except for Social Studies." A different sort of ick face, but an amiable one at least, as he picks up his plain-brown paper covered book.

He's learned the value of hiding the covers of what he's reading.

"Oh man, I hate social studies. Almost as much as Trig. History is kind of fun through oddly enough."

"What was Trig? I'm alright at the math stuff, and I actually like learning about history."
