LIFE SUPPORT

OPEN TO ALL

There is tea, milk, sugar and lemon. There are sandwiches, scones and cake. There's yahtzee and plenty of chairs and table space for it! Come on, you know you want to eat, and play, and talk, and relax.

Remy...isn't looking so hot when she shows up. Sure, she helped set up, but she's worked though colds and such before.

Now, she's claimed one of the chairs, along with a cup of tea that she wraps her hands around.

Connor frowns a bit, and moves over. "Bit under the weather, doc?"

"Yeah," she murmurs, rubbing at her temples. "Apparently so."

He nods, taking a seat. "Makes me wish I knew how to make people feel better like Miki does."

She offers a bit of a smile, lifting her hands to sip form the mug held in them.

"I've felt worse, so I really shouldn't complain."

"Worse before does not make the bad of now really better. Complain away." Connor smiles.

"Want a scone?"

"Just a headache and general achy-ness so far. I'm hoping it doesn't get too much worse."

Beat.

"Sure. Scone sounds good."

He nods, and will retrieve for her a real british scone, with clotted cream and raspberry jam. "Well, it should not be much worse if it's just a flu: have a lot of orange juice and chicken soup, aspirin, and rest." That much he knows about medicine.

There's a bit of a dry look, as if to say 'I know that!', but she smiles her thanks all the same as Connor brings her food.

Tyler eventually wanders back down into the Bar proper, heads towards the Life Support tables. After snagging himself a heavily sugared and milk cup of tea and a sandwich settles down, looking hopefully at the yahtzee box and paper.

Connor was wondering if anyone would play: it's good to see someone interested. "Heya. Up for a game?"

It's a game that just involves dice and paper.

Safest game EVER.

Which is why Connor is going to see the kid just light up and grin.

"Yes, yes please!"

The young man smiles and nods, setting out sheets and dice. "Nice. And welcome to Life Support."

"My second time coming here," Tyler smiles, reaching over to shake hands. "I'm Tyler Marlocke."

"I'm Connor, nice to meet you." He nods. "usually we have more people, but there is a flu going around."

"Guppy's the one who usually sets things up right?" Tyler asks, taking a pencil and a scoresheet.

"Yeah, and myself and Thirteen help. Both are a bit under the weather." Pencil and scoresheet for him too, they are about ready to go.

It's the scent of the tea that draws him close and the sight of the cakes that draws him all the way in.

That and his desire to understand this place and the beings populating it better. Some might call it curiosity.

He's still got the quiet, dignified way about him, one might expect from en elf lord but his stay here is doing him good. The drawn and set look of his mouth has softened a bit and his eyes have regained their twinkle.

And Connor steps up to greet him: a pale young man with dark hair and purple eyes. "Hello, and welcome to Life Support. Would you like a cup of tea?"

"I would indeed like a cup of tea," Elrond replies politely.And then, because how could he not ask?, he asks, "Life Support?"

"Well, Milliways and the whole 'End of the Universe' thing can be overwhelming to some people. Then there are others who are Bound for a while, or can not leave because they died in their worlds."

"Sugar? Milk, or lemon?" Of course he's serving the tea. "Doctor Sandhu had the idea to create LIfe Support to help anyone who's feeling down, relax, rant and ramble if they need, have some good food, play a game, and socialize."

"I'm Connor." He offers a smile.

"Just tea please. And that does sound very sensible. It is a strange place," Elrond said, accepting the tea. "My name is Elrond Half-elven. Well met, Connor."

"Nice to meet you, sir." Connor gives a nod, offering the cup on a saucer. "Yes, strange, uncanny, surprising, weird. You never know what to expect."

"Which sounds strangely like my own life as of late. Still, at least the mountains I see fr om my window are the same. That gives some comfort lacking here," Elrond remarks as he takes the offered cup and saucer. The saucer is a novel idea but he mimics the way Connor held it and took a careful sip.

"Have you been here long?"
