It’s a cold and tired SEAL who walks up to the bar this – morning? Afternoon? Evening? He’s not sure anymore, and it’s not making him any happier.
“Bah, gimmie a piece of cahdboard and a Sharpie, if you will.”
Which I won’t.
He sighs. “Please?”
Sharpie and cardboard, as requested.
Was that so hard?
“Oh, come on. You shouldn’t even be sentient in the first place.”
That’s not very nice.
“You – nevahmind, I got shit to do.”
That’s a biiig piece of cardboard.
Pretty neat handwriting, too, considering.
Voodoo? He’ll be in one of the booths by the window, staring at the light show. Doesn’t take much to occupy him.
(OOC: Open 'til it scrolls.)
(EDIT: And slowtime is over!)

John-117, she's pretty sure, isn't coming back. If she's going to get back up to speed any time soon, she's going to have to take some steps other than working with Paladin Gunny. This... this looks like a good step.
Ignore the icon, please. The young woman- nineteen years old at the most- is a day's growth out from shaven-headed, and has a number of faded scars in visible places, including a couple of unfortunate notches in one ear. She's also wearing a dark green uniform that could've fit right in on the set of an Irving Berlin musical about the Second World War, although at the moment its only insignia is a patch on one shoulder. She and her dog are going to see about tracking this fellow down.

"Sit, Dogmeat," Ellen murmurs as she approaches; the dog does so. She then raises her voice. "Sir? Are you the person who posted the notice about training opportunities?"
no subject
"So. Whaddaya need?"

He just staring up at the notice a bit thinking before turning and looking for the most likely person to have put it up. There's a CHANCE that he could learn some of these skills from Adrian, but he hasn't seen the Marine farting around in the woods with his eyeball dog-thing in a long time.

A distraction would be welcome at this point.

"Hello, how good is that notice on the bulletin board for lessons?"
no subject
Good thinking, Tyler. Voodoo's got a soft spot for Texas Hold 'Em.
He considers Tyler's offer for a second, then shrugs. He's just a kid. He couldn't possibly do any harm, right?
Right?
"What the hell. If you think you can take it, I'll teach ya."
no subject
"I'd like to learn more about survival, evasion, resistance, and escape techniques mostly, how much would lessons in those be?" Tyler asks, sitting across from him in the booth and putting the deck on the table.

She'd be utterly unremarkable but for the fact she's also carrying a handgun, pistol of some type, and for the cybernetic left forearm.
Jordan might have an interest in hiring a SEAL, but the question is, would a SEAL work for her?
no subject
Voodoo sees her looking at the notice out of the corner of his eye. He glances at the pistol and grunts. More people are carrying in this bar than he expected.
His notice is still good.

Don't mind him. He's just going to stare at it for a while.

She noticed that feeling of being stared at. Soon she was staring back.
no subject
He doesn't notice her staring back. Eventually he starts staring out the window again.
no subject
"Um hi," she said.

The plastic-looking teen who approaches Voodoo is in uniform. He always is. No Earthly uniform, though. Which, y'know, makes sense.
"Hey. You the SEAL guy?"
no subject
"Yeah, that'd be me. Who're you?"

That and they don't salute uncovered, i.e. indoors.
"So. Something you need?"

"I was wondering what you charge for lessons."
