There is a small, gray-haired, terrifying Ecuadorian woman rampaging through the ship's galley of the Borealis right now. According to Shephard's bad Spanish, and according to the only marginally better translation that Maldonado was able to provide, she's some kind of chef and she's got permission to temporarily take over the feeding operation of the place, at least for a day or two. Well, fine. Fine. Running the mess wasn't what Shephard signed on for in the first place, he'll let her have it.

... aw, who is he kidding, he's pissed as hell that somebody took away a duty he was actually good at. Not that he hasn't got other things to do, he's just-

Well, it's only for a day or two, far as he knows. He'll deal. Not like he got assigned helicopter duty for the rest of his life or anything. He's just gonna need to calm down a little before going back to the boat, so he's taking Mrs. Wilson with him to Milliways for a little quality time in front of the fireplace with a brand new biography of Lou Diamond.

And, apparently, a fortune cookie. It is much easier to be critical than to be correct.
