...and Dinah tried so hard not to get sick this time and everything.
Turns out it didn't work so well, as needing a break from issues at home leads to staying the night at the bar leads to waking up one morning and not quite feeling herself...
This is why, when she comes down to the bar today, she's not wearing a wig - but she is wearing a costume. It's just not hers.
"Bar," she says, in a gentle tone that could almost be described as 'motherly', "I'm afraid I'm not feeling too well. Perhaps some tea?

"You too, huh?"

Diana's smile is all pleased surprise -- interrupted by a particularly loud sniffle.
Bar obligingly provides a box of tissues.
"Yes, me too."

Some people you just assume are immune to this kind of thing. Dinah can't imagine Clark, for example, succumbing to an Earth virus.
"Could be worse, I guess."
It could be that crazy-making flu. At least she's still Dinah.

She sniffles again, swiping one of the tissues and blowing her nose.
Delicately.
"But you're right -- it is a little odd. Maybe I'll get checked out in the infirmary before I go back. And the Watchtower. Just to be on the safe side."
All the decontam procedures should be ready and accounted for. Bruce is thorough.

Violently.
It does not cause major devastation to anything beyond the tissue in her hand.
"I hope it's a crazy bar thing rather than a crazy at-home thing. The last thing we need is sick people with freezer breath."
no subject
Though if either of them thinks Clark would be bad --
"None of the Lanterns are on-planet at the moment, are they?"
The thought of a sick Guy Gardner is not to be borne.

It gets interrupted by a cough. A very loud one.
"I'll have to look that one up in the database, sometime. You never know who might be lurking there."

Her nose itches fiercely. Something in the back of her head does, too.
"Hera, I must be tired. Ellen. Hello. I'm afraid I'm a little under the weather today."
no subject
Probably not- her father was the doctor, not her- but one never knows, right?
no subject
"It's just a cold. I'm sure I'll be right as rain in no time."
Maybe she'll pick up those few inches she's lost once she recovers, too.

The pain in her head increases slightly. Maybe it's trying to make up for the sudden blankness in her memory banks.
"Things have been -- "
They've been what?
"Quiet, mostly. I'm hoping it's the calm after the storm, rather than before. And your own affairs, Ellen? How are they?"

She punctuates that with a sneeze. A very loud one.
"I apologize."
She sniffs once. Twice.
"Do you know who's likely to take charge of the distribution? Anyone you know?"

Sameth hasn't seen Wonder Woman in a while so looks up from his dinner with a smile,
"Hello. Its been too long."
no subject
"Oh," Diana says, smiling. "Hello. Are you -- "
She interrupts herself with a very loud sneeze.
It gives her brain time to push through the fuzziness to pull out a name.
"Sameth. It has been a long time. You're well?"
no subject
That sneeze sounds bad and he hopes she doesn't have what Posner does, its odd to have him not be himself.
no subject
"Bar has been kind enough to provide tissues. Thank you, though."
She sneezes again, pausing to blow her nose.
Delicately.
"I hope you haven't come down with this dreadful cold."

Very worrisome.
Almost as worrisome as the tickle in her throat.
"Do you know what the symptoms are?"
This would be so much simpler if Dinah knew she were hallucinating.
Oh well.
no subject
It was rather odd since Posner seemed to be almost flirting with him.
