Jessica had meant to be a good patient and stay in her rooms during her illness, she really had, and the times she wasn't suffering from the fever she did. Unfortunately the fever is persistent and while her body usually does a good job with illnesses this one really has been a battle.

Today Jessica Sarah runs down the stairs and yells "Toby!" before leaping into the rafters to begin running along them as if it was the most nature thing in the world. Not that strange perhaps but what about when she's running on the sides of the beams, the bottoms, the walls or the ceiling? Seems someone is not seeing things as clearly as one might expect. Or maybe she's showing off?

A teenage boy sitting at a table reading a comic book looked up.

"What?" he yelled at the person calling for him, "Sarah?! Is that you?"

Suddenly he was out of his chair looking up at the girl running around on the rafters. He is, of course, wearing a very Jareth like costume, complete with frills, and a huge grin.

Her stops her and she crouches down to get a look. She doesn't quite recognize the boy (after all to her Toby is a toddler) but the costume looks familiar.

"What have you done with Toby?!"

"I AM Toby," he said, "Since when could you walk on the ceiling like that?"

He was used the Boring Sarah.

Now that is just confusing.

"But it's only been a few hours since you were taken!" And there's that whining Toby might remember. As for the other question, she ignores it for now though part of her thinks, "I always have."

"Sarah how old are you?"

She narrows her eyes in suspicion at the odd question but answers anyway, or at least tries. "Thirty...no fifteen..." The confusion she feels is easily read on her face and truth be told she does look more thirty than fifteen despite her clothes.

"Sarah, are you feeling well?" he asked.

She does look more like his Sarah than the old pictures.

"I'm feeling a little warm," she says a bit confused. Now that she's been sitting still she does seem to sway a little, not enough for her to fall but it's noticeable.

"Where's the Goblin King? I have to get you back home!"

He sighed.

"He's retired, and I'm supposed to be the Goblin King now," he said, "Could you come down here?"

She nods and stands. With a deep breath to calm her nerves, closes her eyes and leaps to land with much more grace that she should.

"I'm so sorry Toby. I tried to get you out, I did." And here come the tears.

"What do you mean?" asked Toby.

"When the goblins took you. I tried to get you out of the Labyrinth in time but I guess I failed." She swoons again and reaches for a chair to steady herself.

"You got me out," he said, " Maybe you should go to the doctor."

She was apparently sick, and that bothered him. Soup, that's what she always made him when he was sick. He waved down a rat and ordered some of the chicken noodle variety, and crackers, and ginger ale. And then he ordered Mac and cheese for himself since he'd not had any ungobliny food in a loooong time.
