This evening, and for the next few days, he is going to take some refuge from the weird that is his world. Tonight that means that he's got on his batman hoodie from Ray, a bunch of blankets, a plate of peanutbutter and banana graham cracker sandwiches, a free fortune cookie, and a packet of origami paper.

So far he's got an impressive little army of dogs and wolves started on the table in front of him.

Six is TOTALLY his own little army. Really.

Not like he's going to have any plans of doing anything with his army.

Once Will's had a stiff drink of whiskey, he looks around and notices Tyler's army,

"Ye goin' 'untin' with those?"

"Will!" Tyler looks up from making number 7, grinning.

It has been a WHILE.

It has and its showing on Will's face, he's had a hard winter,

"Aye, Tyler, found meself a door."

"I haven't seen you in forever, you wanna peanut butter and banana sammich?" Tyler says, setting down #7 and picking up the plate to offer to Will. "I can totally share."

"'avena been in that often an aye, thank ye,"

He smiles and grabs a sandwich, it sounds odd but tasty.

It's mostly sweet...and a little sticky and mushy.

"What would paper dogs and wolves hunt...dust bunnies?"

"Paper rabbits or boars, ye just 'ave to make 'em."

"Lemme see if my instruction manual has the boars...I know I saw rabbits in it.." Tyler giggles at the idea of it. "Maybe some paper rats for the terriers."

"Oh aye, get some 'unters who can 'ave spears an 'unt the boars,"

Will picks up a toothpick to demonstrate.

"How do you use a spear to hunt a big ol boar?" Tyler's only see the boars at the state fair once as part of a field trip during kindergarten. Thise things were ginormous to a little six year old and he hasn't changed his opinion yet.

City boy.

Any how, Tyler's dancing one of the wolves to chase after Will's toothpick.

"Ye get the dogs to surround it and then can spear it, only nobles can do that. Once went 'untin' boars with Robin 'fore things got bad,"

Will parries the toothpick at the wolf, a far away look in his eyes.

"Robin?" Tyler caught that far away look as the wolf dove at the toothpick again with a mock-wuff from the lad.

"Oh aye, 'fore 'e was made outlaw an I was 'is squire as 'e learned to be a knight,"

The toothpick dances out of the way as Will shifts it to be a sword.

"...first time, I've heard you talk about him." Tyler murmurs, watching the little paper wolf try to duck the slashes and parries of the 'sword'.

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye? Always thought I talked too much 'bout 'im. Without 'im I'd be dead many times o'er an 'ate to think what Nottingham would look like."

"...things aren't good in Nottingham, are they?"

Even with Robin helping.

"Nay, 'avena been for a while. We do all we can but ne'er seems to be 'nough."

...He can't really say his life and world is much better.

It's good and bright and warm but it also hurts something fierce.

It's complicated.

"...anything that can be done to help? From here?"

"Today, I'm na sure. Folks from 'ere 'ave aided with the tax an other things. I'm just tryin' to figure out what to do 'bout what I just found out,"

Complicated is a good way to describe a lot and Will rubs at his wrist, they won't hang John.
