Happy Hour
There is a woman in a daring red cocktail dress behind the counter, ready for the customers of the night. The specials board is set up as well with a theme.
SPECIALS
- Red Apple;
- Flaming Fruit Trees;
- Low Latitude Lust;
Pure vodka, tequila and bourbon, half-off.
"Happy Hour is open, dears. Come have a drink."

The specials board gets a brief glance, but he is a man with an appreciation for the female form, so the bartender gets more of his attention tonight.
"Bourbon sounds good."

And, she does not insult Al by asking if he wants to somehow taint or dilute his drink.

And he is certainly grateful for the alcohol.

He sips his drink.
"It's nothing, really. Just a bad day."

It's so nice to be out in the world again, a world that has women in it--after eight years away, it's taking some getting used to again.
But eventually he empties his glass, and when she seems to have a minute, will attempt to wave her over for a refill.

He holds the glass out.
"Have we met before? You seem really familiar."

...one of those hard to forget?

"Ever been to San Diego?" he asks.

For the most part.
"Most beautiful beaches I've ever seen."

"I would have a thing with no vodka in. Tequila, I may drink."

"Those Flaming Fruit Trees it shall be, then," Teja says.
He knows of no lewd side-meanings to 'flaming' or 'fruit'.
"And I am worse than I was," he then adds. "But also, I am much better than ever. I have access to the world of my people, at their time."

...
What? She's The Devil! "Oh, dear... I hope that does not mean you are leaving Milliways." She gathers the ingredients, mixing them quickly.
"Count to five and blow it out." And Eshara lights the glass on fire; after Teja puts the fire out, the straw is added.

"Oh, no," he says, "I cannot stay -- I am hardly more than a ghost there, and would fade after some days. This is my home now; but at least, I might visit those that were dearest to me in my life."
