Bonzo isn't in the Bar. He's actually out back, engaging in a bit of exercise, practice, and so forth. He's considerably bundled up (the weather is colder than he likes, but his "normal" setting is either "climate controlled" or "Spain", neither of which involve a Scottish-style winter), largely because he hasn't been in the Forge today (he didn't draw a shift for the day), giving him a bit more free time than he's used to.

Which means he need something to fill it with.

Well, Enzo's out working off some energy on the heavy bag. He's almost done, though.

Bonzo waits until Enzo seems to be getting to the end of his punching, when he...drops in beside him. Literally.

Well, there was a somewhat convenient tree nearby, so he really couldn't resist the unconventional entrance.

"Ho, Enzo. What's up?"

Was that really wise, Bonzo? Enzo is in a good mood today, but practising has put him in combat mode and he's got sharp reflexes. His next punch is immediately rerouted.

Well, at least you can't deny the entrance was effective.

Bonzo wasn't expecting that, and he gets a fist in his face for his trouble. His own fist goes up in a block, sparing him the full force of the punch, but he still gets a fist full of sprite.

He may be out of practice, but Bonzo has been in a fight or two.

"Bonzo!" cries Enzo, his brain catching up with his body. "Sorry, dude! You okay?" He certainly appears to be—within the framework of 'just got hit in the face', of course—but it's only polite to ask.

Bonzo recovers quickly enough, shaking off the punch.

"Fine...just fine." Blink. "No, really, I am. Good reflexes."

He's actually smiling, even though there's a slight wince from having just been punched. "It's what I get for sneaking up on you like that. It's my fault for letting you hit me, though."

Now that he's sure he didn't do any real damage, Enzo smirks. "Crashing right, it is. I thought I was the one being taken by surprise."

"Well, that was the plan. So much for that." Pause. "How much practice have you had in hand to hand combat at the Academy?" He knows its a good bit, but he's not sure how much it is.

Enzo raises his fists with a grin. "Wanna find out?"

Bonzo grins right back. "Sure, why not?"

Relatively controlled sparring...something he hasn't done in longer than he cares to think about. He needs practice.

"No style okay with you?"

Where 'no style' means no particular style, or, put another way, every style.

"I don't know what styles you know..."

Or if they're even remotely close to what I know, for that matter.

"...so, why not?"

"Right."

Enzo throws a few light, testing punches.

"So what's processing?"

Bonzo replies in kind, focusing on testing out Enzo's defenses.

"Oh, the usual. Work in the forge. Surviving here. Hanging out with Bobby. Nothing terribly new."

"What kind of stuff do you usually make in the forge?"

"It varies." Jab. "Metalwork, obviously, but...whatever people need. Teja actually helped replace a goddesses' computer monitor recently."

"Whoa." Block. "You can do that in a forge?"

That's a completely new form of percussive maintenance.

Bonzo laughs. "I think it was just the..." Punch. "...frame that was broken."

"Oh, okay. Thought those were usually plastic, though."

Bonzo shrugs. "So did I, but I think some older ones may have been metal." Beat. "The idea of a medieval king helping out a goddess with a computer problem is...it's Milliways."

"No kidding."

Leg sweep.

Bonzo is swept off of his feet. He partly manages to right himself with an attempted flip...and as a result, manages to fall in a very odd (and probably amusing) way.

Enzo bursts out laughing, even as he helps Bonzo up. "Wish I had a camera there!"

Bonzo laughs as he gets up. "And I'm glad you don't." And then it's back to starting positions.

"Guess what? Dani's birthday's tomorrow."
