Thalia Grace by the fire
Thalia comes downstairs today trying to decide if her dream of herself and the golden fleece was prophetic or not. When her foot touches the last step down her clothes change and she freezes. She's tempted to run back up stairs just like she has for all the other weird holidays this place has but then she remembers Demeter's advice to try new things and it is never wise to ignore the advise of the Gods. She can do this...playing thing. But first she runs back up to her room and grabs a real bow and quiver of arrows. A girl has to have her priorities!
Back downstairs, she reclines at the fire with some cider and the Illiad and eyes the mask that appeared with the cider. It seems kind of plain compared to the other ones she seeing around the room. Is she supposed to decorate it or something?

When he gets his morning coffee, there's a mask around the mug and a note with his biscuit telling him to go to the fire, he looks over and turns red when he sees Thalia.
Still you do what Bar tells you and walks over while trying to get the mask off without spilling his coffee, "You look pretty."

"Thank you," she says though it's almost a question. "I think there is some sort of holiday today." She takes a look at the mask hanging off his mug to see if his is as plain as hers.

"Yeah, wouldn't want that. Sure I'd make an odd lookin' girl."

If only Demeter could see her now.

"How are the horses?" she asks looking for a change in subject to put him at ease. She leans back though she was tempted to leave her hand where it was.

Since she hasn't moved her hand, he carefully covers it with his own.

"We meaning your family?"

"Yeah, my brother's not coughin' as much since I got him some medicine from here."
no subject
"That's good. I didn't know you had a brother or that he was sick."
no subject
"Yeah, Mark's younger than me by a few years and Doctor Sandhu helped me see what was wrong with him. Its just the two of us and our Ma, Pa was killed over a year ago."

She's not quite sure how much detail she wants to give him and, if she were honest with herself, she's not sure she wants to tell him about her heritage in case it scares him away.

"How are you managain'?"
There's a hazy memory from Percy about a tree but he's not sure what it means.

"That must have been dangerous for you. Glad you found folks."

"Hey, I can take care of myself. I was the best sword fighter we had!"

He knows how many people will do all they can to cut you down and just want whatever gets them ahead.
