It's been a fairly busy few weeks for Pavel; when he finds a door into Milliways, he gladly takes it, PADD tucked under his arm. Unfortunately, the fact that it would be Mardi Gras on the other side of said door did not occur to him, and it results in a shout of surprise when he feels his body shift--and looks down.
Anyone who understands Russian (and judging by the vehemence of his cursing most who don't, too) will very shortly be treated to one very stunned and very unhappy Pavel Chekov. Just...call him Pasha for now.

Milliways, where swearing just that sort of way is a little special compared to most places.

"You are...female?"

"Oh, um, my name is Izumi Ako, but please call me Ako."
The bow at the end flashes blue hair at Chekov, that much stayed the same at least.

Oh, damn. His voice is unmistakeably female. Oh, damn. Pavel stops, sighs, and pinches the bridge of his nose. "My name is Chekov. Pavel Andreievich Chekov." He doesn't want to look down again. Because the Academy reds he had been wearing? Are now not pants, but a rather startlingly short miniskirt and sweater getup with the same black boots.

Ako shifts his weight.
"How do guys even move like this?"

And that is the sound of a very unhappy Russian.
That'd be why there's one American doctor peering over the top of his book to eye the newcomer. It isn't Olya, or Katya, so he's not inclined to investigate imediately. Olga made him promise not to bring attention to himself, and for all he knows, all Others (or at least the ones that might be dangerous) are Russian.

There are a few parallels to Chekov; this version has the same hair, the same eyes, most of the same face. "You need not to stare at me, Doctor McCoy," she says, English only going from slightly difficult to bad when he's frustrated. Unfortunately that comes out before she fully realizes that Bones might not recognize her.

"'Fraid I don't have a reason not to. You're making a bit of a spectacle of yourself, Cadet."

"Not to be contrary, Cadet, but you are female. At least you have all the major physiological features." He retorts, dryly.
no subject
"My name is Pavel Andreievich Chekov," he begins. "I am not supposed to be female. Vhen I came in from my room, I vas male. I am male all ze time outside zat damned door." He rarely curses in English. This warrants it.

Is giggling.
We're sorry, Chekov.
Maybe it'd be better to leave before he starts out-and-out laughing.

"I need a drink for zis."
Unfortunately the bar does not seem inclined to give him one, much to the young midshipman's chagrin. "And I suppose you think zis is terribly funny," he mutters.

The Russian cussing gets a startled look from that direction.

"Dogmeat." He--now she--looks up slowly at the owner. "...Ellen?"
No way. Does the sex-switching happen to everyone?

For lack of any other useful thing to say, Pavel comes to sit next to Ellen--oh, this is so wrong, he knows it and can feel it all the way through him, this body is not designed to be his--and asks for vodka and a couple of shot glasses. He figures the now-not-female Ellen could use it too.
"At least Dogmeat is ze same."
no subject
Right now Ellen doesn't especially care.
"As far as I can tell he just thinks I smell a little bit off," Ellen says. "He hasn't been affected, and he doesn't act differently towards me, which is about all I can really ask for."

...Crap, that would suck.
