Mia and Cepheus were headed for breakfast when Milliways showed up where the kitchen should be. That change ended up being the least of their worries.
Cepheus felt around on his costume, unsure about why he was suddenly a king cake and why Mama's dress was suddenly a whole lot puffier.
Mia, too, was wondering about the sudden appearance of the fancy pink dress with black lace and a rather explicit necklace.
She fingers the necklace, idly attempting to decipher it.
"Surely that's not a real word. It must stand for something. But what could it mean?"
She decides to leave it alone for now and picks Cepheus up, smiling as she gets a good look at his costume.
"Well aren't you cute?" she says, giving him a kiss on his cheek while he smiles at his mother. The two then find a spot where they can get breakfast from the bar.
So, who wants to tell her what that necklace means?

She's dressed not-in-a-costume, just a white crop top, jeans, and... sneakers. And some bead necklaces too.

She turns her head to see who's addressing her and, once she does, turns it back to Cepheus so she can continue feeding him.
"Morning," she replies, hoping that this will be brief.

But, the Devil does not have bad intentions. "How have you been, dear?"

Prejudiced?
Yes but she does have some reason.

"That's very good." She could ask about Draco, but decides not to: it would defeat the point of the interaction.
What is the point, you ask? Offering Mia a small book titled Urban Dictionary - A Lexicon of Unusual Expressions. "Bar really should work on using less obscure humor."

(The Devil should know that it's the easiest thing to tempt Mia with. And a dictionary at that? She'll probably read the entire thing for fun, no matter how vulgar it gets.)
"I take it this is the cipher for my necklace?" she asks, thumbing over to the Ms to find the strange word.
Keeping at least one eye on Cepheus while she does.

The Devil is hiding very well how much she's anticipating seeing Mia's expression when she reaches the right page and the detailed definition.

Her face starts getting redder and redder.
And eventually the necklace gets stuffed down the front of her dress.

Cepheus, meanwhile, is not happy with the lack of Mama's attention and makes this known with a whine.
"Mummy's here, sweetie," Mia replies, getting another spoonful of baby cereal for him.

The child seems more or less blissfully unaware of the Devil and her nature. Mama's here, so things are fine.

"I wouldn't have guessed," she comments.
The Devil? A mother? It's an unusual thought.

And she wouldn't. She is only human, no matter how you cut it.
"Mamadada," Cepheus babbles, joining in the conversation.
