It has been a very long year.
But it is, finally, over.
Classes are done, OWLs are done, the last two weeks of Talking About Things are over, and there's nothing left but a bit of packing and the end of year feast standing between Lily and going home.
And if she's putting attending the feast just a little by dropping into Milliways first ... well, she'll go when she gets back.
Probably.
For now, she is taking a break for a cup of tea at the end of the universe.
[OOC: Slowtime, please? Thanks!]

It's now a little past four feet long and written in Albus' semi-neat scrawl.
Beside him are a stack of books, some open, some left closed.
His nose is smudged with ink.
no subject
Oh the other ...
"You have ink on your nose.
"Hello, Albus."
no subject
Albus glances up, refocusing his thoughts from the essay to the voice that approaches him.
(He completely missed the 'ink on his nose' bit.)
"Oh! Um."
Blinking, he sits up a little straighter.
"Lily. Hullo."
no subject
"May I interrupt?"
no subject
How embarrassing.
He must look really stupid.
"Yeah - of course," he says as he starts to clear some of his things to the side with his other hand. "Sorry my table's a bit of a mess."
no subject
She just needs room to set down a mug.
"What are you working on?"
no subject
no subject
"Yeah, it's gone."
She looks down at the essay.
"So you're doing NEWT-level History of Magic?"
Only a Ravenclaw.
no subject
"Most of my classmates sort of dropped it as soon as they could."

"Are you well, dear?"
no subject
That's mostly the same thing, right?
"Hello."

Kore will have that same serious look at times and it always makes Demeter itch to do something.

"It's just ... there's been a lot going on at home. It's the end of year at school, and there've been exams, and everything and just a whole lot going on, you know?
"I'm Lily Evans."

no subject
Well, she's heard that Demeter comes here.
"It's very nice to meet you, ma'am.
"And, well, thank you, but I think I'd spoil my supper. There's a feast for the end of the year, when I go back.
"It's kind of a big deal."
no subject
Demeter's been to a few like that.
no subject
"I'll stay near the people I do want to be around."
They've been very effective at keeping the others away, lately.
"And we're all going home tomorrow, so it's kind of the last chance to see people for a couple of months."

He is carrying a stack of books that is looking none too stable and he is obviously in need of a place to put them momentarily.
no subject
"D'you need help with that?"
no subject
The book at the top of the pile has a beautifully gilded binding with the outline of a woman dancing amidst flowers. A tome of poetry perhaps. One is labelled "Healing waters, potions, and ointments", another "Secret language of birds"
no subject
She gives the books a cursory glance, but no more, really. It's the end of term, after all.
"I'm Lily Evans."
no subject
Up close, he is very tall and stately. Despite the cobweb decorating part of his long, dark hair.
no subject
"Are you working on any particular project, with the books?"
no subject
no subject
"Will you take any of them with you?"
