Urquhart comes to the table to help himself to some strong black coffee.

He's no longer as shy and diffident about this as he used to be.

Possibly this is helped by the fact that Guppy no longer hyperventilates when he walks in the door.

"Evening Urquhart." Guppy says, nodding to him.

"I hope it's all right if I prefer my coffee without sprinkles?" Urquhart says.

He's not even super-meek any more, either. It's obvious that he's joking, and he knows he can have his coffee any way he wants.

"However you like." Guppy says, squirting cream into his hot chocolate. "How are you?"

"I personally am quite well," Urquhart says.

Long pause.

"How well do you know Teja?"

"We've been friends for several years." Guppy says. "Why?"

"I didn't like what he did to Alfred thee other day," Urquhart says. "All this talk about executions, and being brought to justice eventually."

"... I'm going to need more context."

"Alfred came in and was already on edge from things in his world," Urquhart says, "and the Ostrogoth went and poked and prodded at him in a random policeman sort of way. After that, he was positively spooked and skittish."

"Why was he prodding at him?" Guppy asks.

"I'm not sure there's much I can do about it, given Teja is security, and I'm not, and he possibly resents you and your lovers from the whole killing him thing."

"Alfred never tried to kill him," Urquhart points out. "Can't you tell him that taking it out on the people that" -- I care about -- "are close to me is thoroughly unprofessional? And he was prodding because he could, as he'd seen a weak point, of course."

"I don't know." Guppy says. "Sorry Urquhart, I'm not sure it's my business to intervene on this one."

"Well, he certainly won't listen to me," Urquhart points out.

Ben stands for a while reading the sign from a safe distance before he gathers enough courage to approach.

"What's all this?" he asks the first person who looks his way.

"Hey Ben." Guppy says. At least, he thinks it's Ben. The guy looks a bit different but he's got the distinctive... skin condition.

"It's a support group for people who are worried about problems here or at home. But anyone can come and have free food."

Looks like Ben plus another foot or so of growth.

"How did you know my name?" he asks rather suspiciously. He hasn't met too many people here and back home he's supposed to be a secret.

[OOC-I'm totally fine with this Ben discovering there's another Ben like him.]

"Oh, sorry..." Guppy grimaces. "I... have you heard of alternate universes?"

Ben nearly gives a derisive laugh but stops just before it's release.

"You could say that," he says instead and another difference might noticed;, this Ben doesn't have the thick accent Guppy likely is used to. "Let me guess, there's another me that got the cosmic shaft?"

He not bitter at all...
