[ From Here and Here and Here -- ]
To bar partisans, they fall in from literally from nowhere.
Two girls, one short and one tall. Both blonde. Both armed.
Both bleeding, though there are far more wounds on the smaller.
Thrown from somewhere far away. Into the couch.
(If you were sitting there, it's not your night.)
The smaller of the two hiccuped out. "Medic."
"My country for a medic. And a bottle of vodka."
Beat. "Not necessarily in that order."

"Rachel?" He doesn't know the shorter woman. But he couldn't possibly miss Rachel.
He hops off his stool and hurries over.

Not healing instantaneously from injuries after the adrenaline wears off.
It sucks.
Rachel's injuries are considerably less than those of the woman beside her, but those she does have tend to bleed. A trio of deep scratches in her shoulder, a shallower set on her cheek. Scattered scratches high on her collarbones, leading up to her neck, like those of a cat. The same on her ribs, though deeper and in probable need of stitches.
A very human-mouth-shaped bite on one foot.
Leaning back on the couch as soon as they hit it, Rachel lifts her head just enough to catch sight of Cy.
A hand lifts in a vague sort of wave.
"Hi."
Flop.

And make love to the pillow she fell on.
And ignore just how much everything everywhere hurts.
no subject
"Should I get a doctor? Or at least a First Aid kit?" He's seen one behind the bar.

No adrenaline + soft place to rest = it's honestly a miracle she's even talking right now.

"Hell, not a medic but I can get you some bandages."
no subject
Her brain still on how awesome the couch is.
In that it isn't a floor or wall or attacking something.
no subject
Rachel slips into a slouch on the cushions with a sigh that is half-groan, eyes closed. Bandages don't sound like much help for her throbbing body but moving and protesting is not high on her To Do list right now.
no subject
"What's the worst?"
no subject
And nod her head that way.
"Her."

They were pretty much directly over Ako's head to be fair. (Anyone who thinks playing with fires in only for winters has never been out on a clear summer night.)
"I might be able to... help?" Surprise Rachel! People you know coming to help.
no subject
"Help is great," Rachel says, without registering the voice or moving a muscle. Because what she is lying on? Is both soft and not trying to kill her.
And that is fantastic right now.
no subject
Eying the new person.
"What's your plan of action?"
no subject
"You're both awake so... checking for serious injuries. Then painkillers and cleaning up the cuts and things."
Stitching up is outside of her normal range of treatment. So is lots of blood.
On the other hand that bite needs to have something done or it's probably going to be infected. The human mouth is filthy.
no subject
This actually gets Rachel to lift her head and blink blearily in Ako's direction.

Having landed on the couch directly behind Tyler, he's boggling at bit at the scene after having jumped from his own chair reflexively.
"...I'll get the first aid kit and asprin!"
no subject
Then, with closed eyes and not terribly urgent tones: "Okay."
no subject
It's a mutter. Oh. God. Soft couch.
Which totally contrasts the pain.
Or the being thrown into things.
no subject
"Here's some asprin, and a soda Ma'am." He's going to be offering Jo a pill packet and one of the sodas, before doing the same for Rachel.
no subject
Even if Jo's mutter gets the smallest of smirks.
Greetings to Tyler can come after aspirin and soda have been consumed.

"What nerve," he says, irritably sketching a few of the healing Charter Marks he knows over them. "You disappear without any word, stay gone for weeks, and now you just appear out of nowhere and have the gall to bleed all over my couch."
He missed you, Rachel, and has been worried.
no subject
Later.
As the Charter Marks do their work and flesh knits together, pain fades away. Which leaves Rachel sighing in relief so sharp it is nearly a gasp, sinking further into the cushions.
"Yup," she murmurs, unable to keep her eyes open any longer. "An' now I'm gonna sleep on it."
no subject
Once she is asleep, Yrael heads to the bar to retrieve a light blanket and a pillow, which he settles over Rachel and under her head, respectively. It's not that cold in the bar, but one never knows. Content to let her sleep and let the spell do its work, he shifts into catshape, curling up on the back of the couch to keep watch.
no subject
It is some time before she wakes. Early evening when they appeared on the couch - at least dawn before Rachel starts to stir.
no subject
He is well awake when Rachel starts the stir, and moves to peer down over the edge of the couch's back at her.
