[oom: The classic blunders.

Never get involved with a land war in Asia.

Never cross a Sicilian when death is on the line.

And never assume that you're finally safe, because the moment you do, fate is going to remind you just how fucked you are. And it's going to be painful.]

I am pleased to announce I have found a canon in which MI6 would not be breaking child labor laws when dealing with Alex Rider! It does require him to be a fully trained wizard, but I'm sure we can work around this.

On a side note, I am a little sad to realize that I was relived that it wasn't a friend back stabbing Alex at this point. It's supposed to be a shock when it happens, not a pleasant surprise when it fails to occur.

It has it's moments both ways. Wizards and witches who have finished their academic training are sent out into the world to gain practical experience via magical assignment. The main character, Negi, is assigned to be an English teacher in Japan.

He's ten years old and from Wales. I figure there's some buried grandfather clause in a treaty somewhere that allows it.

Ako thinks Alex needs new friends.
