Things have been getting better since Ellen had her talk with Wonder Woman, but she isn't quite ready to go back home just yet. The Brotherhood's likely to give her another assignment somewhere, and she needs to get her head in order first.
Also her finances. She's seen her name on the tab board, which is why the sign has gone up at her table:
Clothing Mended - Shoes Repaired - Machinery Repaired - Guns Maintained - Energy Weapons Tuned Up
Some Armors Repaired/Repainted
Reasonable Rates, Open To Negotiation And Barter
No Micro-Chips, Please
She'll be working on sewing patches on the more worn-through and dinged-up areas of her uniform jumpsuit for a while if anyone needs her. And just in case no one believes her about the equipment, she's also taken her plasma rifle apart and laid the pieces out on the table for examination; she can put that thing back together fast as needed.
