(OOM: "What do you mean, you lost our papers?")
Cata's at her usual table, looking very pleased with herself (Sam wasn't far off with 'the cat that ate the small village,' really). But then, she's successfully tormented her firsties, Sam's in Bistort for a while, and... well, that business with the sausages didn't turn out so badly after all.
She's got her advanced class's work, this time, but she never minds an interruption from grading papers.
(OOC: Subject to work-related slowtime from about 3:30 EST to 9ish tonight, but open to tags at least through Friday.)

"Hello to you too," she says. "Good day?"
'Better than the last couple weeks' goes without saying, she thinks.

"My first-year students are very upset that I managed to lose their assignments, and Sam's in town for a while. I think the two together make for a good day."

"It is still Bistort. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else."
(She doesn't think Sam would, either, if his girl could put up with city life for that long. But she's a Druid, so.)

"I can see where that would present a problem in your case. But, well - Bistort is home. I only left because I wasn't in my right mind at the time."

"Entirely fair, of course," he says, sliding his glasses up his nose with one finger. "Und you can do your work zere to your satisfaction, which is an important sing."

Perhaps people deciding not to re-form the Guild would have driven her elsewhere, but she never doubted they would regroup, once given the opportunity.

"And the students who came back for more have been... surprisingly enjoyable to teach. I think it helps that they do know what I expect them to come in knowing, and care about the subject as more than something that must be suffered through to get to other things."

"You haf, I sink, more patience zan I," he admits. "I haf very little patience for new students older zan maybe ten years of age, whezzer zey know what zey should or not. Few of zem have any sort of talent for learning on ze fly."

Older students... she's not sure yet. By the time someone can explain the subject matter to her standards, she might be on the old side for taking assignments.

She hardly considers herself a natural teacher - but she sees no reason why the Guild shouldn't restart with high standards.
