There are a great many things noticeable about Noriko: her hair, her clothes, her face. The way she looks too old to be her age sometimes, or looks tired without having a particular cause. The gauntlets that adorn her arms from fingertips to elbows certainly count.
Right now she's not particularly concerned with how she looks, dressed in black jeans and a faded yellow tee-shirt with bumblebees patterned across the front; they were her old clothes before she came to the mansion, at least in some state, and it helps to make her forget just a little of what's happened since she came there, and just how many times her life has been turned on its head. She's pretty absorbed in the books she's reading and making notes on right now--physics, electrical engineering, and mechanics all stacked on top of one another, open to different pages--and she has yet more on the table besides those.
School is kind of trying to drown her right now, she's thinking.
