P.S: Don't tell Guppy I stole his sign.

It is a good sign. He's set it up in front of the booth he's in, with his legs up on the table, drinking whiskey.

Guppy wanders over.

"You know, I would have given you a new bit of cardboard if you'd asked."

Atton turns the sign around and attempts to look innocent.

"I don't know what you mean."

"Innocent as a puppy next to a piddle." Guppy says. "Are the prizes real?"

"Of course they are. I would never deceive people. You have so little faith in me."

"Well, that might have been part of the fun..."

"So little faith. I am wounded. You are neither a gentleman nor a scholar."

"And you sir, are not a mongoose." Guppy says. "Beer?"

"Sure, add it to the whiskey."

"Oh, I didn't see the whiskey... do they go?"

Urquhart reads the sign, and smirks.

"I think that is a very bad idea," he says.

"Which one?"

Stealing Guppy's sign might have been a bad idea, Atton does think. Guppy is terrifying.

"The fistfight," Urquhart says. "Everybody knows you're going to beat them. You have this force thing, if I remember rightly."

Atton points at him. "You wound me, sir. I wouldn't use the Force. You don't bring magical energy fields to a fistfight."

You do bring them to knifefights, though.

"Can you just turn it off?" Urquhart says. "I thought it was part of you, being faster and stronger."

Atton nods. "I wasn't able to before I was trained, but I can use the same technique I use to mask my presence to other Force-Sensitives to suppress my abilities as well."

"If you really did that, I'd beat you," Urquhart says.

Atton grins. "You think so, do you?"

"Seriously? Cash prizes for beating you in a fistfight."

Nori kind of has to investigate this, if only because, well, her definition of a fistfight--or of fighting in general--is a little crooked. This might be attributed to her belief of 'if you find yourself in a fair fight, you didn't plan well enough'.

"Yep, we are. I've been in enough fights to know there's a catch if someone's offering you money on the outcome."
