It's finally happened.
You knew this day was coming, and it's finally here. Try not to panic.
Fluttershy has discovered the turtleducks.
She is beginning to come to the conclusion that if there are familiar animals at Milliways, they must be hiding from all the weird ones - humans and houndeyes and miniature cyber-raptors and so on. But this species is very cute.
They don't understand her quite as well as Ponyville's animals do, but she doesn't really need them to. (And, she is very carefully not thinking, they aren't running away from her, either.) She's got a few slices of bread that she's breaking up and tossing to them, and that they understand very well.

Fluttershy bows back. Not as deeply as she does to Princess Celestia, but it seems more polite to return a bow than not. "Um, hello."

"Oh, w-well, that sounds like my friend Twilight."
It's probably good that he refers to her as 'bookish'. It means she probably hasn't gotten angry at him.

"Yes! That's her."

For the moment, at least, Fluttershy is too absorbed with the birds (or reptiles, or whatever) to notice a human looking at her.

Dixie's got a little handful of dried corn from the stables, the better to tempt both bird and pony closer. She starts humming, too, a soft, slow, quiet little ditty with artistic flair.

It'd probably be polite to greet somehuman who's coming to feed the birds nearby. (Of course the corn isn't for Fluttershy. Even the few ponies who keep that sort of thing around for more than bird food only eat it in emergencies. Not that emergencies come up very often.) "H-hello."
She's pretty quiet.

Which is not to say she won't notice if Amanda gets too close or makes noise.

"Hello" she says in as nonthreatening tone as possible form a decent distance away.

"Oh, um, hello."

"You can speak... great!" she says happily. Offering, "I'm Amanda" and she takes a seat nearby.

The baby shrieks when she spots Fluttershy. "Pony!" she shouts, and runs toward her as fast as her little legs can carry her.

Also, that is a very big dog. And dogs who are On Patrol don't always want to listen to her.

"Pretty pony!" Ana starts jumping as she runs. There's no hope of her actually jumping high enough to catch the pegasus, but she's darn well going to try.

As much as she likes being called pretty, Fluttershy doesn't much want to be grabbed by a human foal. Plus the aforementioned dog. So she's going to be staying in the air for a bit. She does softly call, "Um, thank you." There's no need to be rude, after all.

"Pony?" she says plaintively.
"Frisket, at ease," Enzo says as he jogs up. Frisket snorts and flops down on his belly. Not like this one's a threat. Or a challenge.

But she's also not coming down, at least not just yet. Even if the foal is being plaintive and adorable and...
No. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were adorable, too, but they caused quite a bit of trouble before Fluttershy got them under control.
Still, it wouldn't hurt to apologize. "I'm sorry. Um, if I come down, you aren't going to grab, are you?"

"How do we pet, Ana?" Enzo prompts his niece when she doesn't answer right away.
"Gentle," Ana recites. "No pull, no grab."
"That's right. You'll be fine," he adds to the pony. "I'll try not to let her get overexcited."
