Back in Ponyville, it is well and truly winter. The leaves are off the trees, the animals are migrated or hibernating, and the first significant snowfall happened last night. So when Fluttershy comes to Milliways, she's expecting it to be basically like at home.
And it mostly is, she'll admit that. But not quite. Some of the trees still have some of their leaves, for instance.
She knows this place runs itself, and without being as scary as the Everfree Forest, but it's still kind of unsettling. So she's in a booth, with a mug of hot chocolate, staring out the window with a vaguely puzzled look on her face.
(She's also circumspectPsyche, if anyhuman wants to get in touch with her that way.)

Way to be articulate, Fluttershy. And to ask a question whose answer you'll understand.

AC: :33 < *a cuddly kitten p33rs at you from behind a chair!*

CP: Um... *I... peek back at the kitten through my mane.*

AC: :33 < *and sniffs in your direction with whiskers twitching*

Fluttersy also catches a waitrat's attention and surreptitiously - except totally not, because she knows how well cats can hear, even if she doesn't actually know that the cat in question is nearby - asks it to bring milk and a saucer. She has no idea what kind of cat can operate these communication devices, but she can start from what she does know.

AC: :33 < *and then very very cautiously bumps it with her nose!*
AC: :33 < *and then scampers back a little*

CP: *I also get some milk, in case it's hungry.*
And indeed, the rat is returning with the liquid in question. Perhaps they make an extra effort to be quick with milk-and-saucer orders.

AC: :33 < *she sniffs the air again*
AC: :33 < *and inches closer*

CP: *And don't look straight at it.*

There's a rustling in the rafters overhead.

She said she wasn't looking straight at the milk. But she said nothing about the corners of her eyes. Nor about looking toward interesting noises. Obliquely, of course.

AC: :33 < *she wonders if the yellow pony with the pretty pink mane is the purrson she's talking to!*

Should she have turned that into some kind of narrated thing? Oh, well, it's a bit late now.
And pretty? Really? Aww.
