"Flying Girl" - PS238 - Main Bar

[OOM-Flying Girl, aka Julie Finster, learns not all victories guarantee jubilation.]

The little girl who can't seem to make up her mind as to what name to use walks in the bar today and makes her way to the Bar herself. She seems distracted as if trying to decide something. Mixed feeling are hard at any age.

With a sigh she flies up to sit at a stool and orders a chocolate explosion milkshake.

[OOC-Open forever but I'm likely to hit slowtime in about an hour.]

For a moment she might catch something out of the corner of her eye..just as he catches a glimpse of her at the bar.

Moon Shadow, full grown Moon Shadow in his uniform looking at her for a second.

She does catch that something just as she was getting a proper straw full of chocolatey goodness. She freezes and does a double take. He's so much like Moon Shadow but then again he's not. For one, he's an adult and two, no football helmet. A grown up Moon Shadow? That would mean Moon Shadow isn't dead. She can't help the excitement and she must know for sure!

"Moon Shadow?"

...Well this was bound to happen..

The adult Moon Shadow smiles..there's just enough of his face under the helmet to show that, before he nods, bows slightly and turns to fade into the shadows of one of the booths.

WHAT??NO!!! is all Julie thinks before she flying to try and catch the man.

He's gone into the shadows in an instant...

...leaving her just grabbing at air when she hits the spot where he was.

Julie hovers there for a few more seconds looking really confused and blinking furiously behind her mask to keep from crying. Eventually, she'll fly back to her shake with a sigh.

When she gets back to her milkshake...there's a note card, with Moon Shadow's official business symbol standing next to it and a business card.

When it's opened, inside in that same silvery text is this.

-I'm not dead. I'll be back soon, don't worry. I also took care of your tab for the next week or so.

Julie does a fist pump in the air when she reads the card. Settling in to finish her shake, she's feeling much better as she rereads the card over and over. The only hero who believes in her is okay!

And maybe when she gets back she can convince Ms. Kyle not to quit teaching. Now how can she convince Suzi Moon Shadow isn't made of bad dreams and scary thoughts?
