Urquhart is slouched on a couch, peeling and eating oranges. The tangy scent mingles with the warm smell of the fire in a relaxing post-holiday atmosphere.
He digs out the box of chocolates he got as a gift from Scorpius and offers one to Urquhart. This is one spell he also wants to figure out, but first he wants to see what happens.
Sam patiently waits, he's had some of the magical chocolate explained to him and tried them out on himself but never seem them happen to someone else. Hopefully Urquhart won't be too angry about briefly being a small yellow bird.

He hasn't had much luck and one of his chocolate frogs has escaped and is hopping straight towards Urquhart, "Careful."

"Do we need my dog to hunt that thing?" he says.
no subject
"Um, no."
no subject
"It's, erm, hard and -- melty?" he says.

Sam doesn't really want it now and he's trying to sound serious but it's a chocolate frog.
no subject
"I eat a live frog made of chocolate?" he says.

He looks at the slightly melty chocolate thing in his hand, then decides it's not offputting enough to not eat it, and takes a bite.
The wiggling stops.
"Good chocolate!"

The big bird flaps its wings, and tweets in a very confused way.

There is a little black cat on the rafters who boldly creeps closer, staring down at the gigantic prey in fascination.

He feels certain Teja would approve of this plan.
no subject
He'd fly, but he doesn't know how to.

"I'll buy you a drink later, Urquhart, I promise."

The, Urquhart is himself again, and Myrrh is sitting triumphantly in the middle of a veritable sea of yellow.

Myrrh mewls, innocently. It wasn't her that unfeathered the giant yellow bird, was it?
no subject
He offers his hand to Myrrh and tells a rat to get some treats for Myrrh and a drink for Urquhart.
no subject
Urquhart chuckles. "Whiskey, please," he adds to the rat. "A good one. I can use it."
no subject
Then he leans down to pick Myrrh up so she can sit on his lap.
