Multipup Post of Help-Me-Decide-Who-To-Keep
[OOC: Yes, I'm still alive, though some days are more indicative of this than others. Anyway! This is as much to see which characters I still have voices for as to see which characters people are interested in interaction with. No need to migrate accounts for pups I can't/won't play, after all! Please indicate as best you can who you're tagging.]
The Doctor slips in from the back door, having just returned from indulging his sudden whim to have a bagel in every incarnation of "New York City", all twenty-seven of them throughout the whole of time and space. Needless to say, he's very full at the moment.
---
Agnes Nitt, now 25 and looking more the Mother than the Maiden despite her continued lack of a love life, is perched at the bar absently working her way through a mug of scumble and a plate of fried paradoxes while she people-watches.
---
David Xanatos has a booth near the window with his laptop set up and a number of newspapers spread out before him. An observant passerby might notice they are all copies of the same paper on the same day, but all carrying different stories.
---
A battle-weary Echo is taking advantage of the bar to rest and resupply. Her table is covered with several dismantled guns, and she is methodically cleaning them and checking for wear.
---
Kitai reclines in the rafters, casually watching the ebb and flow of people below her and indulging in her hobby of mentally calculating how difficult it would be to defeat each of them in combat.
---
Nikola Tesla has collected a small crowd around him as he demonstrates again his favorite party trick of juggling balls of crackling electricity. The resulting static field is playing merry hell with his hair, but he doesn't seem to mind.
---
A relatively recent newcomer, Quorra is still somewhat starstruck by being in the presence of so many Users. She is also voraciously working her way through the stack of books on her table, but would never turn away conversation.

Agnes, please!
He gives no indication of having noticed Agnes, but he has. And is wondering whatever it is she is drinking.

Agnes nods politely to Urquhart and offers him a slight smile.

Agnes Nitt
He is very tall, very regal, very well-dressed, long-haired - and pointy-eared.
He gives her a polite smile as he orders - something warm and spicy. He is also trying to make out the components of her drink based on the olfactory indicators. There seems to be apple in it. Well, some apple anyway.
no subject
Still, she returns the smile with a polite nod, and tries very hard not to crawl out of her skin.

"That's a bagel." Guppy says. "It's like a doughnut but not sweet."
no subject
"And much chewier than a doughnut, as well," he adds with a nod and a grin. "But that's part of the appeal."

The fact that the newspapers all have different headlines just barely registers.
"Good afternoon."
no subject
Xanatos looks up at the greeting and nods to a fellow businessman. "Is it afternoon already? For a place so temporally locked, time does tend to get away awfully fast."

The Doctor!
One learns to read the signs, after a few years in the business of feeding people.
Rae is determined, nevertheless, to pay off her bar tab. She hadn't realized that it had gotten so out of hand. One already-full patron will not defeat her.
She promptly realizes that she's scowling at the man... oops. Staring is bad enough. Scowling is probably not welcome. The look quickly changes to one of wry apology, anyway. "Cup of tea to help wash all that down?" she offers.

"Duuuuuude," she says, after a bit. "Now that's a nice trick."
(OOC: Slowtimeycakes, but given that Tesla's got a bit of significance in W13 canon, I couldn't resist.)
no subject
He hurls one of the crackling spheres at the young woman. It covers about 2/3 of the distance between them before snapping back like a yo-yo at the end of its string.
"That one is a nice trick," he notes with a wink.
