Most people, when the go home, get a reasonably warm welcome. Carlotta got home to discover that Fern was refusing to let her in the house. Which amongst anything else, was frustrating and rude.

She wraps her Ringmaster coat around her bump, makes a quick trip to the bathroom (baby's kicking her in the bladder again) and then searches for backup.

Teja is by the fireplace, his Tyrian purple cloak draped loosely over the back of his chair, sipping mulled wine from a large clay goblet while gazing calmly into the flames, and watching the occasional fire-fish flit by.

Cats are sleeping on the arms and back of his chair; a little gray one is even curled up in the grim Goth's lap.-

Demeter has recently entered and is ordering herself some wine at the Bar before heading towards Teja.

Carlotta heads over to both.

"Hallo." she says. "Have you got a moment?"

"For you," Teja says, "I shall ever have as many of those as you wish."

"Of course, Carlotta, what's wrong?" Demeter looks her over to see if she's hurting.

[fiery_ring]

"I've just got back to the stables - for end of season, you know - and Fern is there. She's not letting me in the house."

Teja stands, carefully putting down all the cats; and then, he picks up his axe, nodding.

[wheatencrown]

"Then we'll come with you and make sure you can enter your home."

[fiery_ring]

"Thank you." Carlotta says.

She heads grimly towards the door.
