Hunh.
Not exactly what Sallie expected to see floating over the bartop this evening.
She'll just be staring at it for awhile.
This can't be good.

"Ma'am, what's that?"

He doesn't need her to say what she is actually thinking: I need to ask Mike about this one, and Is this dangerous?
"I'm just goin' to leave it alone for now."

As he feels in need of it as there's more work waiting for him when he gets home.

And she does, once she stops looking up at the crystal.
"You know, you never did tell me how your ma liked her present..."

(Both Mrs. Reynolds and the thing floating over the bar.)
"Mrs. Reynolds?" Mary asks, clutching her grey shawl tightly across her chest as if it may provide some protection. "What is that?"

"It's...pretty," she ventures.
Unnerving. But pretty.
"Should we alert someone? The constables? Police?"
"A priest of some sort?"
Mary doesn't know much about exorcisms and has never given the idea much credence, honestly. But you never know what the right approach will be in Milliways.

"I told Mike. Imagine we'll have a palaver about it and go from there."

Because weird nouns sound like names of people only coming from Charlie.
Maybe Mike. But usually Charlie.
Sallie looks away to smile. "Wei, Charlie. Been a while."

"Green Lantern's one of the heroes from my world. Green and dark gray costume, green mask, brown hair, ego big as Texas." He of course knows there are many Green Lanterns, but he's only seen one here.

"What, are we in The Sims now or something?"

Claudia never really got a taste for it, but she's seen enough 'look how I tortured my Sims today!' picspams in her time.

He leans back, claps his hands, and smiles broadly. "Wonderful! Absolutely splendid!"
A portly 13 year-old leans in and squints at the object from slightly further away. "What is it, Uncle Borgel?"
"I have no earthly idea," Borgel says, still smiling.
[OOC: I'm not too late, I hope.]

The paradoxes appear on the Bar. They flicker in and out of phase for about ten seconds before they stabilize. It's another thirty seconds before Borgel can touch it without putting his hand through it.
"Huh," Melvin remarks. "Weird."

"Is Bar giving out quests now or something?"
It's pretty clearly something from a Game, but the Sims has not yet been released in his world.
(If indeed it ever will be, as the mun can see absolutely no way to make a game with no win condition work with the overall canon setup. It's even worse than the solitaire thing.)

He experimentally pokes Bar, to see whether the options 'Make drinks...', 'Serve drinks' or 'Practice mixology' appear.
