Two pups, one mun.//Allpocalypse Now Plot.
What with the Bar at the End of the Universe in a state of chaos, it stands to reason that a certain bringer of chaos would find the atmosphere most pleasing and conducive to being ... pushed along a little.
Which he can do while he's snacking on the other side of the Observation Window. Doom bots are remarkable multitaskers.
So let's see what happens.
Meanwhile, out back, or maybe it was slightly before, Rabastan was enjoying flying the Lunar skies as an eagle. Spotting a large cloud he decided to dive in and have a little fun in the process. And it was, until the cloud got strangely cold—real cold.
It's not supposed to be this chilly.
But that was before the bigger surprise he was about to encounter as he exited the cloud. A hundred yards in front of him, a large rock the size of a smart car was floating in front of him.
"Ohshit!"
Hard right! Hard right!
No good. There were dozens of these rocks. Maybe hundreds. All about the same size and all floating high above the treeline and providing an unexpected obstacle course for the not!bird.
Deciding not to attempt any further flight Rabastan settles himself on one of the rocks. Which, unbeknownst to him, are in actuality asteroids.
He wonders why the sky he can see through the clouds is red. He wonders why it's so damn cold. He wonders where these strange rocks came from. He wonders where one of the mountains has gotten off to. He doesn't notice that one of the clouds is obscuring a large hole in the sky.
This is too much for him. He's going inside where he hopes things are somewhat more normal [ha ha!] and warmer, and where he can get some answers.
[For those playing along, Unicron's snacking has caused a large, deep hole to appear in the sky. This is how the asteroids have gotten through. However, at the other end of the hole an asteroid too large to fit through has become a merciful plug to the hole [If you look carefully, you can see the asteroid in question]. As for the missing mountain? It'll be replaced in a day or so. Have fun!]

It doesn't take long as she looks around for her to be glad that Cepheus is off playing with Rachel in Meribia.
She lets her hair down, finds a table, and begins to sort her mail.
no subject
"Very funny," he grumps. "Biscuits, not coasters," he says to the rat.
Have the rats started developing Alzheimer's now?
no subject
"Have you made them upset or something, Uncle?"

She runs into a letter in her stack that makes her pause. She doesn't put it down just yet.
"Any idea what's going on here?"

Mia begins to open the letter.

He sees the crystal hovering several tables away. At the same time as he spots someone's mug of beer starting to overflow.
"Right?"
no subject
And then she unfold the letter.
"...well, maybe," she amends once she's skimmed over it. "Something's going on. Something big enough for people a continent away to know."

She puts it down and looks through her mail to see if there's any other letters from Caldor Isle.

After finding no other letters in her stack, she checks the envelope again for anything else. Another page full of scribbles is her reward. There are hasty notes about "cracks" and "missing land, possibly devoured?" Probably the most prominent scrawl is one reading, "red sky - Zophar??"
"We might have to send her some clarification if this actually is connected to Milliways. It looks like she, Alex, and Nall have been trying to connect her more recent dreams to the ones we believe are linked to Zophar."
Mia then puts the letter down and rests her arms on her belly, the baby kicking just underneath.

That's....not good. But not necessarily connected to Zophar. But if Luna is having these dreams...
"But this...this doesn't feel like Zophar's influence here. The stories all say that he's a bringer of war. Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't look like there's been any slaughter here."

Free of fatalities, that is.
One hand props up her chin as she leans over the letters, the other hand going to the spots where the baby's putting his or her feet.
"These dreams... If Luna's dreaming about this, it's more than merely unusual. Luna dreams about big things."
no subject
He sighs. The rat staff are getting senile. They must be.
"Usually things pertaining to Lunar, though," he says, dipping a maple glazed into the cup of tea like he's seen Muggles do.

The smell of donuts gets her attention.
"Are those donuts? I'm getting up if they are."
no subject
Pause.
"Yes it is. You having a craving for baked goods?"
no subject
She carefully stands herself up, her hands going to her back as she walks, just about waddling, over to Rabastan's table.
"Actually, I had been the reason why the kitchen's constantly low on Salyan pickled cactus. I've found I end up craving food from home more than anything else when I'm expecting."
no subject
These aren't too bad, if a little sticky."
no subject
She glances at her stomach.
"I wonder if this child will have as much of a sweet tooth as Cepheus. Much as I'd love a donut, I wonder if I should..."

Must be adapting more than she thought.
She takes a maple-glazed donut and takes a bite dry.
"Oh! These are different than the ones I've had before. I like it."
