Truth be told, Teja's foretelling of Doom got Guppy a little worried. What with the window cracking and all.

But, the Bar's been through a lot before, and Guppy isn't prepared to accept that things are really that bad yet. So when he got picked up in here today, he didn't immediately flee back through. Instead, he went back to the infirmary to carry on the cleanup from the earthquake and check on the waitrats.

A few hours later, having left the waitrats playing on a mouse-sized version of the game 'Operation' they picked up from somewhere, he comes back into the bar and notices... his door is no longer there.

Okay, let's not panic. He's been coming here a long time but he's yet to actually die. He comes over to the wall and tentatively feels it for the door he knows isn't there. Then, heads over to the bar and orders juice. He sips the drink - Bar hasn't given him juice, it seems, but it tastes nice - and stares dispondantly at the yellow diamond.

"Hey, Guppy," says Enzo, eyeing the diamond warily as well. He's still not clear on its exact meaning, but even sprites have the green-yellow-red indicator scale. So now it's medium-bad, huh? Great.

(Guppy most likely noticed, during his cleanup of the infirmary, a digital-looking crate marked RAR tucked somewhere fairly out of the way, with a sticky note on it bearing Enzo's name.)

"Hey Enzo." Guppy says, looking over.

"Is that box in the infirmary yours?"

"Yeah, sorry I wasn't able to ask you first. I'm storing emergency food in a bunch of places, in case some of them get compromised."

"That's a good idea, I should do some of that with human food." Guppy says.

Beat.

"I appear to be Bound."

"Oh, frag. Well, my Door still works, so if things get too bad here, you can stay in Mainframe."

"Thanks." Guppy says, sipping his drink. "I may need to take you up on that.

Trying to focus on the fact that this place hasn't killed me off yet."

Enzo nods. "We're actually prepared to evacuate everyone to Mainframe if it comes to that. It's not our first choice, obviously."

"It would take time to digitise everyone, but it's a good backup." Guppy says.

"Backup's doing well by the way."

"Good. No trouble adjusting or anything?"

Enzo, of course, has strong fellow feeling for anyone who's been copied, particularly by accident.

"Saw him photocopying his bottom in the office the other day." Guppy says. "I think he feels he's been around all along, just as a part of Work Experience."

Enzo nods. "Yeah, that's exactly how it is. And they haven't had the... divergence me and Matrix did. Not yet, anyway."

"To be honest, I think Work Experience likes having some younger company. Aesclepius is good at what he does, but he's more solumn."

Guppy finishes the pleasant fruit drink and Bar presents him with another one. It's a rather odd shade of blue, but it smells okay, so he has a sip anyway.

"Your drinks turning out okay?"

"It has got worse, has it not?" Teja says, walking up to the bar. "The Sims thing?"

Guppy nods.

"The infirmary is looking a bit better. The waitrats are recovering. And I'm Bound.

Also there's a big hole outside, did you see that?"

"Another one?" Teja says. "Do you mean the thing that destroyed the baseball diamond?"

"I'm not sure... we have a baseball diamond?"

Guppy finishes his drink of blue juice of some sort. Bar presents him with a green one, which he sniffs suspiciously."

"We do indeed," Teja says. "That is where he baseball game was."

Pause.

"Or rather, that was."

"This one was through a mountain. A big, circular, burny sort of hole."

"No," Teja says. "By now, I am inclined to say 'Oh no, not another one!' and nothing else."

Pause.

"What are you drinking?"

It looks odd.

"D'no. Tastes fruity. I asked for juice."

He's already had two mystery drinks, which may have slightly more alcohol in than he thought (i.e. some), and have lowered his resistance to consume the third.

"The bar is serving the wrong things now?" Teja says.

"Yeah. Enzo got... pudding stuff." Guppy says, sipping his drink.

"I think this is lime."

"Then one must stop ordering from it," Teja says.

"I don't think it's poisonous, just wrong. Besides if I'm Bound, I'm going to have to eat, and don't the kitchen staff get food from Bar?"

Guppy has an urge to drink the green stuff quickly, in case Teja confiscates it. Also the urge to giggle and draw a moustache on him in sharpie pen.
