"I'm not going to ask why the sky out back is red," says Arcade. "Or what's going on with the rocks. Or the hole in the mountain, or any of that other stuff. I would, however, really like to know why that enormous crater out past the end of the target range that used to have a boulder in it now has an unexploded atomic bomb sitting in the middle of it. An American one, at that."

He's not going to get an answer, he just knows it.

"There's a what out there now?"

Ako has basically freaked out so much it looks like being calm at this point.

"An atomic bomb. One of the design used about two hundred years ago by the American armed forces to the detriment of the entire planet," Arcade says. "I don't intend to get close enough for all the details but it certainly looked pristine."

Ako is still for a moment before she finds something that might be a plan to follow.

"Oh no," she says, ""That's probably not a good idea. Let me get some paper I'll see about writing a note out to security about it. Or two."

Redundancy means being more likely to reach someone after all.

"That would be an excellent idea," says Arcade. "I understand there are a number of robotic patrons of the Bar. Hopefully one of them will be able to deactivate it before something really regrettable happens. I don't know if this place has any kind of decontamination facilities but I definitely wouldn't send a human after it."

"Probably something could be put together, but things haven't been working well here lately Gannon-sensei."

Now where did, ah, there the note book and pen are. Ako stuffs the wrapping paper into a pocket until she can toss it in the fire later.

"Um, how do you spell your name Sensei?"

"Good to know. I'll make an effort to get myself back to Freeside to collapse on the steps of the Old Mormon Fort in the event of a disaster," Arcade says. "And 'Gannon' is spelled 'G-a-n-n-o-n'. If you need my first name, it's 'A-r-c-a-d-e'."

Ako puts down both, just in case, and finishes up the note. Given the rest of the thing going on outside there's actually a decent chance the bomb might be destroyed before it can blow up, which has a whole separate set of issues.

"Sensei?"

Ako offers it to Arcade to check if he wants before she starts trying to get it to Security.

Arcade picks it up and looks it over. Eventually he nods. "That sounds about right," he says. "Covers all the bases, certainly."

Oh good. She had worried that there were too many exclamation points used, but then again it was a nuke.

"One copy with Bar-san and another in the offices should do."

And off to deliver notices she goes.
