Her Majesty, the Queen of Ambergeldar, steps into the bar this evening, in a very grand dress, complete with sweeping train and one of her good-but-not-very-best crowns. (There was a reception in the Mauve State Drawing Room this evening, you see.)
She takes a long look around.
And then she steps back into Ambergeldar.
Several moments later, Amy comes into the bar.
The crown is gone, and the dress has been traded for one that is much, much simpler.
Never let it be said royalty doesn't know how to dress for an occasion.
Now she just has to figure out what that occasion is . . .

Marian had found a tea tray by the time the second happened. "Fair eve, Amy."

"I take it things kept happening, after my last visit," Amy says, tone gone a bit dry.
"How are you?"
no subject
"I am well," with a simple gesture to the set before her. "And taking a break from it for a little while yet. Would you like some tea?"
no subject
"I'm very glad to hear that its over.
"And Milliways has always managed to overcome things."
They're still here, aren't they?

Once filled, she held out the cup to Amy.
no subject
"Thank you," she adds, accepting the teacup.

"But this seemed far more the sort of situation that required Amy than Amethyst.
"Amethyst is absolutely useless with a broom."
no subject
"I'm sure they appreciate whatever help either would give."
There are a whole lot of people doing nothing, too.
"Though it is already far better than it was."

She didn't mean to stay for so long. But it seemed like she'd tidy away one mess, think that she must be getting home (her door, she is glad to note, has remained firmly in place) then spot a whole new mess and think, Well, I should go on and tidy that.
So, she's not certain how long she's been here. All she knows is that she is dying for a cup of tea. Which she has procured, along with a slice of Miss Barlow's peach pie, and is looking for a place to sit.
She's keeping an eye out for obstacles on the floor, and almost clumsily bumps into the other young woman.
"Oh! I'm terribly sorry. Excuse me." She bobs as polite a bow as she can manage with a cup in one hand and a plate of pie in the other.
no subject
"Do you need a hand?"

Good heavens, she's tired. Hours on end of kitchen work and cleaning is exhausting. Mary has a new appreciation of the Bennet's household servants.
"I fear I wasn't looking where I was going is all."
"You should mind where you step," she adds. "Not all the areas have been cleared yet."
no subject
"Do you know what happened?
"I'm afraid I haven't visited in some days.
"At least, it's been some days for me. I've no idea how long it's been here.
"I'm Amy, by the way."
no subject
"I was not hear to witness it, but I have been told it was a form of...apocalypse."
Though apparently not a full-fledged one. No lake of fire, no resurrected souls, etc, etc.
"I'm Miss Mary Bennet," she adds with another brief bow. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Amy."
no subject
"An apocalypse."
Isn't there just the one?
"Well, the bar still seems to be here. And it always has put itself back together before."
Amy is sure it'll be fine.
no subject
Tired satisfaction, but satisfaction.
"Some people have seemed to be quite determined to lose their heads, even though reason would suggest that the worst has passed and the situation is being put to rights."
As apocalypses go? Milliways seems to have gotten off lightly.
"I'm afraid that when last I checked, Bar had not been....revived yet. But food has been prepared in the kitchens. It's there for the taking if you would like anything."
Mary's cut a lot of fruit today. And learned about pie. And washed dishes. And attempted to cook. In some cases, even successfully.
no subject
"Bar's not well?"
That is slightly worrying.
Amy likes Bar.

So maybe it's the... sort of pistol that she's got broken down into a few component parts, currently pushed aside in favor of some stew someone was making in the kitchen earlier.

And scattered bits of weaponry are not really going to register.
But if the young woman looks up and catches Amy's eye, she'll get a polite nod.

Claudia does glance up, and waves back, in order to pass the time until she swallows her current mouthful.
"You here for all the fun, or were you lucky enough to miss it?"
no subject
"Though the sky was improbably red on my last visit."
no subject
She says this with the certainty of someone who was there for all the fun. If you can call nearly getting sucked into a black hole fun.
(She doesn't.)

Clean-ups are tiring, but they're very much of the "all over" part of things.
