For the first time since his original entrance into Milliways, Detective-Sergeant John Munch draws up short as he steps through the doorway.

"Whoa. What the hell happened in here?"

His question goes unanswered, naturally. In fact the only response he gets at all is a napkin showing up on the Bartop with a very familiar request on it.

"Sure thing, sweetheart."

A few minutes later Munch is standing behind the bar, the specials board up behind him:

All beer and soft drinks 50% off (bottled and draft)

Half-off other drinks if you can tell the bartender what went on here.


Munch might not know everything that's going on in Milliways right now, but at least he's got Happy Hour under control.

Michael Westen, having managed his way back at some point since all hell broke loose, is sitting at the end of the bar idly flipping through a Miami Herald. He finishes the tail end of his beer and taps the brown bottle on the bar before looking up at the unfamiliar face and flashing half-smile.

"Another round?"

"Sure thing." Munch looks at the label on the bottle and rustles up another of the same brand.

"So, do you know what's been going around here?" he asks as he hands over the bottle. "I came in tonight and the place looks like it's been through an earthquake or something."

Michael shrugs halfheartedly as he takes the bottle. "I wasn't paying too much attention to be honest, I took off shortly after they posted the evacuation notice." Truth told, he wasn't having a good week and spent most of the lead up drinking in a less than sensible move.

"From what I hear, the universe ended; monsters and shaking and a great big nothing at the end."

Clearly, Milliways got better...

Any other time Munch would be disinclined to believe Michael, but considering that clean up still seems to be going on...

"Damn. Was anyone hurt, do you know?"

It's pretty damn unbelievable.

He raises an eyebrow over the frame of his shades and offers another half-shrug. "Just looking at this place I'd say it's a pretty fair bet... but you know how this place is."

It's cryptic, but anyone that's been there knows... stranger things have happened. "I don't know anyone that got hurt, but I don't know too many people either."

He's had his ears open since he came back trying to find out the same thing himself, but hasn't heard much of anything.
