Rob quickly drops the baby, and steps away, casually swinging his arms. The alarm stops going off. "Ach, no. Not takin' any babbies here," he says, looking around casually. "Just...moved her," he covers carefully, even if no one is listening. "S'good for babbies to move, righ'?"
Okay, he's feeling threatened now. Rob kicks the dog in the nose and runs. It's doubtful anyone will be able to find his hiding place. He's good at disappearing.
Anya doesn't have much experience with babies. So she awkwardly reaches over and pats the baby on the head. "I won't let the scary little man hurt you, okay? How's that sound?"
Anya looks around, trying to see if anyone belongs with the baby. She sits down on the floor and carefully and a little awkwardly transfer the baby to her lap. She rubs her hand up and down Sunny's back. Maybe she'll like that. "There there... it will be okay."
Van Helsing doesn't always do all that well with adults either, so, he's really lost when it comes to kids.
Beowulf, OTOH, has no problems at all. The big Irish wolfhound just keeps sniffing at the baby, his cold nose touching at her ear or face. He's just making sure she's okay - even if she *is* wailing.

Then, turns to the baby as Van Helsing makes his way over, having heard the dog's cry of pain.

Van Helsing stands off a bit to the side, watching, making sure the dog doesn't hurt the child.
