The front door opens, and a conversation drifts inside.

"Some more tuna?"

"No, no thank you."

"How about salmon? I've got plenty of that."

"Mmm, no, that is alright."

"I think Manning might have some caviar somewhere. I can turn his office upside down if you'd like some of that."

"No thank you, amigo, I am completely stuffed."

"Oh. Okay."

"But... I could use a drink."

"Yeah? Well, let's go then."

Enter two patrons; one, a big tall red guy (sans-trenchcoat for once), and sitting on his shoulder, an orange cat in boots, hat and cape.

The pair head straight for the bar. Red takes a seat at the counter, and Puss gives a cheerful greeting to Bar, happy that she made it through the chaos okay.

"Beer."

"Leche, por favor."

It's Puss who notices the man first. Eying him a moment, he leans in and whispers to Red.

Hellboy's head turns and they both regard Rod suspiciously.

Rod looks a little worried as he looks between them and sips his beer his guitar at his side as he takes a deep breath.

"Hello?"

"Hey." Red nods.

"Hello." Puss dips his head.

"Problem" Red asks.

[rodrocks]

Rod then shakes his head and then nods. "Yeah, um No I'm just sitting here drinking would you like a beer?"

Red lifts his mug.

"Already got one."

Exchanging a nod with Puss, Red stands up and walks over to sit down beside Rod.

"But, you can buy the next round."

[rodrocks]

"Okay, that sounds fair. I"m Rod."

He tells them both softly.

"Red."

"Puss."

They each give a nod in turn, then eye him some more.

Puss catches sight of the guitar, and crosses from one of Red's shoulders to the other to get a closer look.

"You play?" Puss asks.

[rodrocks]

"Yes, I do play. Nice to meet you both."

In his world he's a star!

"It's a pleasure," Red replies offhand, then gives Rod an expectant look. "Now play something."

Puss nods, tail swaying in anticipation.

Shit, what do you play that they will like. He's pretty sure his own music isn't a choice. When in doubt go with an old standby
