*Yrael continues playing light notes that sing of a smoothly moving dancer, whirling slowly across the bar floor. His eyes are half-shut, only the bottom halfs of his catlike pupils are visible in his bright green eyes. He seems not to see Blaise, continuing to hum a lilting tune and smiling to himself.*

Blaise points his wand at Yrael.

"Petrificus Totalus!" he mutters under his breath. That way Yrael'll stop playing his violin.

[binds arms and legs together]

*Blaise can watch as the spell quickly flies towards Yrael. A split second before the spell hits, Yrael's form seems insubstantial, blurring in a white haze. The spell goes through Yrael, but before it even hits the wall behind him, Yrael is solid once more, stooping swiftly to catch his violin, which had fallen through his hand and shoulder. Straightening, Yrael looks at Blaise expectantly, a smirk upturning the corners of his mouth.*

Blaise curses. A lot. For shame, Blaise. For shame.

He takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself.

Wiping the scowl from his face, Blaise looks at Yrael. "Excuse me."

*The smirk doesn't change.*

Should I?

The corner of Blaise's mouth twitches.

"Could you play something else? Something not so... flowery?"

*Yrael tilts his head, very much like a cat watching something that amuses him. Bright green eyes blink at Blaise.*

You want something not as cheerful? I can do that.

Another mouth twitch.

"No, please. Just something... else."

*The smirk widens.*

What, then? Bach? Paganini? Something soothing? What?

Something that doesn't make me think of my ex-girlfriend...

Another twitch. Blaise should really see someone about that.

"I... don't care. Just nothing depressing. Or flowery."

*Yrael puts his violin to his shoulder and begins playing Paganini's "La Campanella (The Bell)". He speaks over the music, cheerfully.*

How have things been, Blaise?

Twitch.

"Not so good."

*The melody continues, Yrael seeming to pay little to no attention to his playing.*

Really? Why 'not so good'? Why not 'so good'?

Twitch.

"Dreams. Other things."

*Green eyes glint at Blaise.* Nightmares, then? Or normal dreams that are not so good?

You must forgive my curiosity, it is a bit ingrained. What other things?

Twitch.

"Not nightmares. Just... dreams. Of someo...thing I'm trying to forget about."

Blaise turns his eyes to Yrael. "Things. That aren't that amusing."

Things do not always have to be amusing. And I doubt things that make someone's week 'not so good' are supposed to be amusing. Though, I could be mistaken.

*He smiles.*

They say that talking about what is bothering one is often helpful. Though, again, I could be mistaken.

Twitch twitch. Glare.

"My girlfriend and I broke up, okay? Happy now?"

*Yrael appears concerned.*

Of course I am not happy. You are clearly going through a rough time, attempting to heal. Such things are clearly not amusing. *His face might be somber now, but his green eyes are alight.*

Perhaps talking to an unaffiliated third party would be a good idea. You understand that I am only trying to help, of course.

What caused the break up?

Blaise turns away from Yrael and doesn't say anything for a couple of minutes.

"...death. And a ring."

*Yrael grins at Blaise's back. His tone might be called mocking, or it might be that he is just trying to lighten to mood. Nah, it's the former.*

Ah. But is that not how relationships do go? Was the ring the first rift, then death did you part?

Blaise stiffens. Buggering notcat...

"It... was the ring first, yes. And then the topic of death."

*The tilt of the head, like a cat perking an ear at hearing something that sounds interesting, perhaps edible. Yrael's still grinning cattily.*

The topic, but not the occurance of death? My, how curious, usually it is much the opposite. I fear what might have happened if death had occured rather than just been a topic of conversation. Your week would really be 'not so good', then.

Twitch twitch twitch.

"It's been more than a week, actually. And if death had occured... things might be better."

*The grin can easily be heard in Yrael's voice.*

You are correct, of course. Then she would not still be here to keep reminding you, keeping the pain fresh?
