She rolls her eyes. "And speaking of kidgods... for crying out loud, Ares, where have you been hanging out that that's how you swear these days?"

Laughing a little, she takes a drag on her own cigarette, which has been kind enough not to go out yet. Or reduce noticeably, for that matter.

"And besides. I didn't do a thing, really, other than try to keep the kidgod from interfering with the trick. And he didn't, and hissed at him when he stopped it... stupid, really. I'm surprised he didn't get stapled to the ceiling or something for that."

Eris shrugs.

"Apparently, m'dear has learned a bit of restraint."

*He takes another drink of his scotch and another drag off his cigarette.*

"Oh, you know him." She shrugs dismissively. "Shapechanging, as usual... but he didn't start it, just joined in for the fun. Made a few heads cry ow, that was all, really, until the kidgod got all whiny and crying... then he just stuck the mortal who'd changed shape so that he'd stay that way a while. Kid called Lochiel. Actually kinda sweet. I like him. He's dealing with it a lot better than Asar-Suti - that's the kidgod. Apparently he's pretty pissed off at his god, too... I guess this isn't the first shit the guy's pulled."

She shrugs, and takes another drag on the cigarette, blowing a mobius strip of smoke up towards the ceiling.

"But yeah. I like this Lochiel. I'm teaching him baseball. He's a quick study."

*He takes another drag, blowing out smoke that takes the shape of a fighter jet that circles around Eris' head before dissipating*

She swats him again.

"I like baseball, okay? And I'm not all that malicious!"

She sticks her tongue out at him.

She leans over suddenly and kisses him on the cheek before shoving his shoulder lightly.

"Of course, brother mine. Go off and leave me, while you prance around with your lady love."
