Havelock Vetinari makes his way down to the bar with creditable quiet and discretion for someone still with his hands tied behind his back. He is fully dressed, but not at all tidily - his shirt is only halfway buttoned, his shoes are undone, and he isn't wearing socks.
To be honest, he could probably have taken the time to undo the bindings holding back his hands, but that's not really the point - besides, taking care of the booby traps on the door, and the locks after that was excellent practise.
He relaxes marginally once he gets into the more heavily populated area of the bar proper - which is downright strange for him - but it's a reasonable point to end the full stealth scenario.
He slides calmly sideways into a booth, and starts patiently unpicking the silk ties around his wrists.
(Now time isn't an issue, he doesn't have to dislocate anything!)
...
Botherable?
[OOC: LOVELY PEOPLE. Alas, it is past 3am, and I must collapse in a tragic heap and go to sleep. I will tag up tomorrow! <3!!!]

(Ah, nearly on the left hand...
Why on earth did he teach Puck his entire knot repertoire?)

"How resourceful of you."
no subject
"I was quite bereft."

"I had rather thought it should take longer. Were they not well tied?" He plucks at Havelock's sleeve. "And however did you manage all this?"
no subject
"And I still need a little more time on the hands, if you don't mind."
Hmm, he almost has the right thumb out...

"Just a moment."
...Or two. Or a few.

He invites himself into the booth and watches with interest.

Actual ties, as a matter of fact. Silk, and bright colours ranging from blues and greens to bright reds and metallic golds.
(Look, if people will just leave them around...)
"There," he says, with a mildly satisfied nod.

"Nicely done."

She is curious about his technique!
[ooc: Let me know if it's too late and I will delete. But. Havelock!]

After a few moment, his eyes flick up to focus on X with mild curiosity.
Well. Perhaps he is an odd sight.
(Nearly...)
[OOC: OMG HI! I'm not on for ages, but yes please!]

And after a moment --
"You are practicing?"
Beat.
"Or it is unexpected. Being bound."
no subject
Beat.
"And yes. It was a little unexpected."
Shrug.
Ah, the left wrist has considerably more give now...

X's expression remains blank, although she blinks.
Once.
"I do not understand."

River makes a FACE.
(She may or may not realize she's not hallucinating the silk ties, though.)
[OOC: HELLO I will cheerfully delete this if you don't want another thread that's so belated! <3]

He's working on it!
...Just give him a moment.
[OOC: HI GEN I WOULD NEVER TURN YOU AWAY.]

It's like a hello! Ish.
[<333 I am tagging and then vanishing for a few hours, but WE WILL PERSEVERE.]

...To his credit, he does start reciting poison/antidote formula tables in his head.
It'll be easier as soon as he gets this last knot loosened.
[OOC: Noooo worries, I am spacy and strange today, so tags will come at random. Hooray!]
no subject
To be honest, everybody inadvertently overshares at her now and again. She's only exasperated because Puck does it so continually and dreamily, and wholly without shame.
The poison/antidote formula tables are probably interesting, though, if she picks up on them!
"Knives are faster," she contributes idly. Just, you know, for the record.
Presumably Havelock has his reasons for freeing himself the slow way.
