There's a familiar sandy-haired man seated at Bar.
He's wearing his usual orange-striped Adidas shelltop sneakers, cargo shorts, a Hawaiian shirt, and a fashionable icepack that is rakishly balanced on the back of his head.

"What did you do to yourself today?"

With only the smallest amount of sympathy.

Mike, who by this point is face down on Bar's top, merely reaches up to remove the ice pack.

The noticeable lump there? That's new, that is.

This time Sallie gives a hiss of a noise when she sees it. "Gorram. You got knocked good. Who were you fighting?"

[mnt_mike]

"Only if you promise not to laugh loudly."

Because he knows she's going to laugh, the least she can do is not be boisterous about it.

[realmrsreynolds]

"Why would I laugh? You got knocked in the back o' the head by so--ohhhh you did it to yourself?"

[mnt_mike]

"...nunchucks're fast..."

[realmrsreynolds]

"That they are, when you're tossin' them about like the weapon they were designed to be."

It is kind of frustrating, Sallie imagines. Especially when one used to be so proficient at something.

"I can't even imagine getting up to that sort of speed like that."

[mnt_mike]

Mike replaces the icepack, but holds on to it this time to keep it in place as he lolls his head to one side. He looks up at Sallie.

"Just takes practice. I...just forgot just how much practice."

"At least you started when you were young."

[guppy_sandhu]

"If Raph did that, I'm going to kick him in the balls." Guppy says, peering worriedly at Mike.

[mnt_mike]

"See, when you say things like that you only make me want to lie."

Mike's voice is muffled, because he's currently sitting with his face parked on Bar's top.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Well, I'd have to kick him from behind some sort of a shield." Guppy says, attempting to get a look at what Mike has done to his head.

He's used to examining people in awkward positions. Fry tends to wedge himself into a confined space if he hurts himself.

"You gonna let me look?"

"That depends, you going to promise that I can go to the bathroom on my own regardless of what you see?"

Mike really hated the whole bedpan thing.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Providing you're not sporting a spinal injury, and you're physically able to get up and do so, yes I promise." Guppy says, grimacing.

[mnt_mike]

Realizing that's about as good as he's going to get, Mike reaches up and removes the icepack.

Under it is a rather spectacular looking egg on his head. To be clear, it's not a literal egg. Just a rather sizable bump, somewhat oval/rectangular in shape.

"I think you should be good to pee." Guppy says, carefully looking at the bump. "Did you get knocked out? What happened?"

[mnt_mike]

"I was savagely attached by a nunchuck."

[basic_powers]

"...what happened?"

That came from just a bit below the edge of the bar, and a just visible mop of blonde hair above a concerned face. Tyler's just as annoyed that he hasn't gotten his growth spurts yet as anyone else would be in his position.

"That's not from training with Splinter is it?"

[mnt_mike]

Mike sees Tyler solely because his forehead is in contact with Bar's top.

"If I say yes, will you laugh? And if you do laugh, can I request that such laughter be quiet laughter?"

[basic_powers]

"You'll hear nothin' more than a light snort and a giggle outta me." Tyler's grinning, only because the chances of Mike saying yes have significantly dropped.

[mnt_mike]

Have they now...

"So...I kind of whacked myself in the back of my head with my 'chucks."

[basic_powers]

..Pffftsnrrrrheheheh.

"It's gotta be better than face-planting into a flagpole."

[mnt_mike]

"Was that an option?"

[basic_powers]

"It is, depending on who you're training with."

[mnt_mike]

"Were there people around? Like...watching?"
