Unsurprisingly, as Cardiff doesn't have what you'd call a large Latino population, Ianto has never been to a Cinco de Mayo celebration. Tonight's happy hour is influenced by the holiday anyway, as Ianto will never say no to tequila.

Jack (the green one) is in the bar with his work bag and sketchbook. Keen eyes may notice that the work bag is bulging--a wonder and a mystery, since the bag is bigger on the inside a god's and therefore exempt from physics.

(Mortal physics, anyway.)

He perches at the bar and watches the door while he has some apple tea.

After the success of the fireworks at the Shindig, Merlin wants to try more grand and amazing magic--things that will make people's mouths drop open in wonder.

Gaius says to keep to small and simple spells, as he's still learning, but that doesn't stop him from having starry-eyed daydreams as he searches the pages of the Big Book of Magic for something really brilliant--maybe even something to convince Uther that not all magic is evil, if such a spell exists.

Antinoos has been a bit bored, even though he has tried to make a start on changing things his way, so when he finds the bar today while he's looking for a scroll for Hadrian, he doesn't hesitate to stop through.

Time to consider options.

Walking towards the bar, he turns his head at the smell of apples from Jack's tea.

"Oh, it's you again!"

The red-bearded man (god?) still reminds him a little of Hadrian.

"Hello again to you, too," Jack says, putting his tea cup down.

Hadrian has a beard and a face a bit similar to Jack's!

"You were right, the other time," Antinoos admits.

This is not a mere mortal. Antinoos has realised that much.

"That improves my average," Jack says. "Right about what?"

"About this not being Alexandria, but instead a bit magical and beyond all worlds," Antinoos says. "Aren't you mostly right? You have magic and powers!"

He might even be a god, as far as Antinoos knows.

"I wouldn't try to mislead you," Jack says, "but I'm not omniscient, and so am frequently wrong."

He makes an apple. "Some magic," he says, smiling. "Some powers.

"I didn't get your name the last time we spoke."

"I am Antinoos," Antinoos says.

And he takes the apple. And he takes a bite.

"I'm called Jack."

This century, anyway.

"Jack," Antinoos repeats the odd short name. "Interesting name."

After the incident with the raiders, Ellen's been leery of leaving her cattle in Megaton without extra guards and care. If the cows weren't pregnant, she'd have taken them with her. As it stands... well, she's just going to hope that the people she hired to watch the herd do their jobs and that everything is all right when she comes back.

Shiphrah and Puah, at least, were quite happy to make the trip north across the Wasteland, and are calmly chewing on a bush on the other side of the door when she comes in from a small shack within a short walking distance of Oasis.

This is who he's been watching for!

"Ellen!" He waves and picks up his bag. "I have seeds!"

"Oh, fantastic!" Ellen beams. "I'm sure they'll go over well. I'm sorry this took so long- this is the first chance I've had to get up to Oasis...."

"No trouble at all. It took a while to get everything together.

"Do you want a drink first or are you ready to go back?"

"Just some water- it's a little dusty on the trail," Ellen says. "How have you been?"

Jack sits again to finish his tea. "Occupied with getting the seeds together. The kids have liked seeing me with a project."

"The- oh, the plants you're getting things from, or other family?' says Ellen. "I'm... not really sure how that works, for gods."

[jack_inthegreen]

"Other family," Jack says. "I have two, right now. There have been others."

He gets out a picture from his wallet, of two red-headed young teenagers with striking green eyes, a boy and a girl. "Georgia and Keiran. My sister made them."

It's complicated. Probably best not to ask.

Merlin has a witch at his side as she wonders what all is in his book having read the front.

"Er," says Merlin at the sudden company.

"Am I bothering you?"

"You're standing a bit close."

Ginny steps back a little as she bites her lip.

"Sorry, Sir."

"Just Merlin," he says hastily. "I'm no knight."

There are strict rules about this sort of thing where he comes from.

It's a good thing she knows the rules because when he said his name she almost does a double take.

"Oh, I'm just Ginny." No need to go into her full name.

"Hello, Ginny."

He holds up the book, a bit sheepishly. "I'm stuyding."
