Artemis jogs in with a towel around her neck and heads towards Bar.

"Hey, can I get a bottle of water?"

The bottle comes with a napkin.

"What? You can't just shanghai me like-"

Napkin.

"...I can't believe I'm being guilt tripped by furniture."

"How about a new and surprising flavor?"

Have a bright smile, and a familiar face.

Familiar is good!

"Hey Mary Margaret," says Artemis, "I think I can find something pretty surprising at least."

"Sounds good to me, then." Mary Margaret sat down on a stool, setting her hands on the bar top.

Into the fridge goes Artemis and she come out with some fruit and starts building the shake around that.

And once the blender stops running she'll ask how Mary Margaret has been.

Mary Margaret watched, with a quiet, distant interest. How everything got added. What it was, and then how it swirled around into one thing from so many. "Things have been pretty normal in Storybrooke. How is your home?"

Full of crime and pollution. Corruption and theme crooks.

Road trips where her Dad knocks her out and leaves her at the side of the road.

"Pretty boring. Not much going on. There's been some news about the Justice League though."

The glass gets set in front of Mary Margaret, on a green coaster.

She pulled it close to her with a thank you, looking into the glass before back up with a smile. "Good news?"

"Rumors are that there's going to be some sort of ceremony with some of the sidekicks and their mentors," says Artemis, "I'd be watching ZNN, but the cape tracking blogs will probably have better news at the beginning."

It's hard to know which of those things to ask first.

"What kind of ceremony? What will they be doing?"

"Some kind of promotion thing? Maybe? There's all sort of rumors floating around."

They probably aren't going to do some sort of summer exchange program, not publicly anyway.

"What does a promotion look like?" Mary Margaret leaned in, wrinkling her brow a little. "Are they still sidekicks then, or do they become full fledged heroes of the same kind?"

"I have no idea," admits Artemis, "I'd figure they'd go to different cities if that was what was happening, but..."

She spreads her hands.

"Not like they ask me what makes a good plan."

Mary Margaret found those last words a little interesting, as she drank her milkshake. "What do you think would be a good plan for that kind of thing?"

"Hey, uh... Artemis, was it?"

"That'd be me. What's up?"

"Since you're tending, could you help hand these out?" He proffers a cardboard box.

She leans over to peer at the headsets.

"Maybe? Why the hands free sets?"

"There's some sort of musical infection going around. These filter out spectral noise. They don't help if you've already got it, I tried, but they ought to work as a firewall."

"I've heard of earworms but that's ridiculous," says Artemis.

She still takes a pair.

"Guess I'm here for the duration then. Last thing we need is something like that getting out onto YouTube."

Enzo winces. "No kidding. It doesn't seem to hurt people, not directly, but they get so wrapped up in music that they forget to eat or sleep. At least Claudia did."

Artemis frowns at that. If it was controllable... but these things never are.

"Right, so how do I turn these on?"

"The filtering part's automatic." He points out the switches for use as communicators or wireless headphones.

Artemis nods. Besides the color and maybe the size they aren't too bad.

"How much is this going to cut general noise?"

"Just a little. I can mostly hear everything fine."

Artemis pops the set on, adjusts for fit.

"Sounds good. Thanks."
