Sometimes the silliest things are the most challenging. She could run into battle without a hitch, start a shouting match with anyone in the bar, stand... somewhat... nearby... in the general vicinity of a waitrat, explore the woods, walk willingly into the Labyrinth.
But the hardest part of Rachel's day remains the part of practice that includes a balance beam.
Or the Milliways equivalent thereof: a fallen tree she'd moved into place not far from the lake, steadied with piles of rocks.
Rachel is studying it with her hands on her hips, mouth turned down in a fierce scowl.
It Is Time.
Y'know.
Eventually.
