Seconds in the past, but not many...
A fallen Seer of Light landed on a blood-spattered, rain-soaked tower. A daughter mourned her mother. And a grimdark girl d̶̜̩̦͔͈̣̪̝̙͉̤̩̯͇̍͊͐ͣ͂ͩ̇̊ͣ̋̈̒͒̉̚͟ê͓͕̹͓̱̞̻̬̮̠̮̘͍̟͍̞̓̇͒ͬ̾̈́͆͑̇̽̃͋̒̎ͭ̊̒͗̕͡s̷̳͔͓̫͔̃͐ͨ̇͑͘͞c̵̶̛̯̭͙͚̠̠̤̖͇̦̤̗͉͑̃̓͊̾ͣ͗̇̄͛̆̽̓̋ͤͮ̚͜͡ͅȅ̡ͬͭͨ̉̿ͨ̌͛̋͐̋ͮ͏̪̮̘͕͙͙̙͔̲͔̤̺͙̯̞͡͞ņ̧͓͎̯͇̥̥̠̣͈̳̫̂͗ͩ̌͋͌̔ͬ̚͜d̓̀ͬ͂̈ͧ̅̒̃̈́̓͌ͭ͊̍̀͏͇͎͙̠̳͓̭̘̜͙̗͖͖̩̣͕̺ę̟̞̫͉̟̔͂̍͐ͥ̇ͨ͂͆ͣͤ͗̽͘d̸̸̜͍͍̘̞̗̟̒ͬ̀͌̉̈̊̏ͥ̂̈͢͝͡ͅ.
But instead of passing through an archway on the staircase down, Rose steps through the archway, and into Milliways.
Seething black tentacles writhe together with the grimdark bloodeldritch energies that seethe through her body, mind, and soul.
The psychically sensitive may feel the dark, alien forces that fill her. They may hear echoes of the susurrus of the Horrorterrors from beyond the Furthest Ring, but if they do, they would be advised not to listen too closely, for the sake of their own sanity.
Rose stops, three steps inside, and whirls for the door; Jack Noir is there not here, and so that is where she should be. But it is too late; the door is already swinging shut, closing with a sharp click even as she reaches it again, and fading into the wall.
Oops. Heehee.
((ooc: And Rose is back, nice and grimdarkened. Please note that unless your character - for some reason - speaks the broodfester tongues (or the tongue of the Great Old Ones, or similar entities), they will be unable to understand what Rose is saying. Likewise her thoughts, if character in question is a telepath.))

She doesn't notice Rose at first, but the raised, garbled voice gets her attention, and she looks up from her workbook to look.

"Rose," she says softly, firmly.

She has to

Her eyes - black as night, instead of purple - flash with an eerie white glow.

"Please," she tries. "Put Away The Wands."

"I Don't Understand What You're Saying," she explains at the frustrated garbling.

At least the Thorns are away?

There's another light, concerned touch from Kanaya as she takes a moment to look her Matesprit over.
"What happened?"
Kanaya, Kanaya, darling, we've been over this, you can't understand her.

She has no idea what's wrong, but it has to be bad, for her to be like this.

"Come On," she says, leading her away from the wall. "Let's Go Sit Down."

Kanaya doesn't take her too far, not just yet, but soon she's seating them on a couch, and drawing Rose close again.

This single bit of light in all this darkness, gets wrapped around Rose securely.

In some ways, it is perhaps better that Kanaya cannot understand her words.

So, for now, she's silent, rubbing the girl's back gently.

Though her eyes are still fixed on that point of the wall.

"I Don't Think It Will Let You Leave Just Yet."

So very logical, Rose.

"Not A Particular Fan Of Waiting Around, I See."

Not right now, she isn't.
