After a long day of defending the Earth against evildoers -- Dr. Psycho definitely counts -- Milliways seems like as good a place as any to unwind.
And there will be fewer curious eyes (and paparazzi) to be found here.
Which is why Diana, dressed as Wonder Woman, settles at a corner table with a glass of water and a light dinner.
People-watching will also help pass the time, once she's done consuming her meal.

Rachel has come back inside after some time with the punching bag to flop into a squashy chair sideways, legs draped over the arm, and already picking at the tape on her knuckles.
They're kind of bruised.
She's kind of pleased with this.

Particularly the tape on her knuckles.
"Did you just come in from a bout, or was this an afternoon of solitary training?"
Warrior women are Diana's people, moreso than many others. In a way.

Pretty sure anyone and everyone in Milliways could still kick her ass in a fist fight.

The voice is coming from a dark-haired, blue-eyed woman in a red, white, and gold unitard.
She smiles when Rachel catches her eye.
"Do you know how durable it is?"
no subject
Rachel's eyes are and always have been light blue. But there is a shine to them now, in the way she sits up and pays attention and even twists to give Diana her full attention.
...and takes in the outfit.
This is Milliways. It could mean anything.
She'll go with ignoring it, until a better option presents itself.
"I have no idea," she admits after a moment, forcing the words out clearly, if a little slow. Totally playing off the woman with the lasso here. "I'm pretty new at it. I asked for a bag and set it up, I don't know if there are different kinds."

There are occasional flashes of gold as he mutters and when a spell briefly makes his hand glow, he sighs and looks around to spot Diana, "Hello."

"You've been well, I hope? It's been some time since we last spoke."
And there was an entire allpocalypse that happened in there, too.

All his attention was on keeping Orannis contained that he didn't have much of a chance to look at the other fighters.
no subject
"Shall I take it that you were, as well? I hope you were not overmuch harmed by the experience."
Understatement.

When he and Nick finally made it back, there was still much to do but they'd made it through.

He spies the woman in very strange armor. He would laugh but she carries herself like Scathach and Palamedes has far too much respect for that warrior to laugh at another warrior who happens to be a woman.
no subject
Nevertheless --
As her gaze passes across Palamedes, Diana meets his gaze and gives him a quick, warm smile.
Should he choose to engage in conversation, she will have no objections, but nor will she intrude does he prefer to keep his solitude.

"Good evening Lady," he says and yes the L is audibly capital.
no subject
Diana inclines her head in a welcoming nod.
"Though I am, in my way, no Lady. Call me Diana, please. If you will."

The Fool sings this odd little nonsense verse as he walks to a table, bells ringing as he does. From a pocket he pulls out a sheet of paper and some charcoal and starts to sketch.

She has an appreciation for art, does the Themysciran princess.
And, of course, some degree of curiosity in what others choose to produce.
It can tell a great deal about a person. For one.

But considering he seems absorbed in his work -- absorbed enough to sing to himself -- Diana forbears to interrupt him.

But either way, armor or not, he definitely carries himself like a soldier. Like an officer.
And, once he steps through and notes he's in the Bar, like a tired officer.
There's even a fresh bandage wrapped tightly around his upper arm.
no subject
Still and all --
Her gaze, piercing and blue, makes a quick, clear assessment of the officer as he enters, and after another moment --
"A long campaign, I assume?"
no subject
Well then.
(He doesn't actually know many superheroes.)
"Long enough," he agrees. "And the days that go with them."
no subject
Diana has had many a long night.
Particularly when traveling through Hades' realm, not all that long ago.

If Diana's watching Clementine at all, she'll notice her by the pool table, where she's racking up quite a game all by herself.
