It's been a month, to Mark's perception, since he entered Milliways last, and when he does this time, he's in costume. Invincible comes to a stop in the doorway, looks over his shoulder at the bank lobby he was just leaving, strewn with unconscious bank robbers, and shrugs. He can take a break.

"Coke, please," he says, as he walks up to the Bar. He grins as it appears in front of him. "Still so cool." He reaches for his wallet, and realizes a small logistic problem with his suit. Iconic as it is, it lacks pockets.

"Um, can I run a tab?" he asks. A napkin appears, with writing on it, and he glances up to the tabs board, where a stylized "I" has appeared with the cost of the drink. "Thanks." He sits down and takes a load off.

Superhero in the house, yo. Totally botherable.

"Coming from work?" Somehow, you can tell.

If Enzo maybe suspects who's behind the mask, it's no insult to Mark's powers of disguise; it's because he knows of someone who was looking for a good costume, and who seems to be a physical match.

Invincible looks up at the voice. He's gotten a little better at hiding recognition, but mostly because the mask hides the upper part of his face. As it is, he smiles, and says, "On break, evidently. The door opened on me unexpectedly." He holds out a hand. "Call me Invincible."

"It does that." Except when it doesn't.

Enzo shakes the offered hand. "Never heard a hero-name like that before."

Invincible's smile broadens into a grin. "That was the intention," he says. "And it's truth in advertising."

"I don't believe I caught the name," he says, keeping up the pretense.

Deadpan: "Didn't you?"

Masks are a little less convincing when you're actually looking for similarities. Also, voice.

Mark's only been at this a month, and he's nowhere as obsessive as some at keeping a secret identity (yes, Mister Wayne, we're talking about you). Which is why the expression on his face is closer to disappointment than confusion. "I don't think so," he says, his tone faltering. "I would have remembered meeting a computer progr-- oh damn...."

He pulls the mask off, revealing a slightly embarrassed Mark Grayson. "Dude, how'd you know?"

"Only 'cause I already figured it might be you," Enzo assures him. "It's a good costume."

"Thanks. Art does good work." Mark fingers the material. It's not Spandex, but it's similar. "And it holds up pretty well, although I've only run into one supervillain so far, and that was before I got the suit, so it really hasn't gone through a true test yet."

"What kind of supervillain?"

"I didn't catch his name. He was muscle for some bankrobbers, and looked like he was made of stone. Turned out to be like a shell over his normal skin." Mark grimaces. "Hit pretty hard, too. We duked it out for a few minutes, but I finally hit him hard enough to crack his stone shell and knocked him out in the process. I haven't seen him sense, so I guess the cops got him locked away somewhere."

"Sounds like a good starter villain."

"Yeah. I didn't think of it that way, but it makes sense. Like the first stage of a game, right?" He smiles. "I guess they drill you on that at your academy."

"Yeah, it's one of the three main parts of the curriculum."

Mark nods. "Makes sense," he says. "What're the other two?"

"Viruses and other malware, and system errors and how to fix 'em. And combat, but that's part of the malware and Game parts."

Mark nods. "How long does the academy take?"

"Equivalent of six years. I have one and a half left."

"Nice. Oh, man, I just realized... I had one of Dad's floppies in my bag, to bring over for you to check out, but it's... hang on." He stands and heads over to the door, opens it, and steps through. A second later, Mark steps back through, in civilian clothes, bookbag over his shoulder. "Here," he says, handing over a 3.5" floppy disk. "I think it's got a few of my old book reports on it, but otherwise it's blank. Sorry it took so long."

"Awesome, thanks! How long has it been for you?"

"About a month." He pauses. "Why do you ask?"

"Only been a few days for me. That's another Milliways thing."

"Great. Because, clearly, keeping everyone on the same time schedule would be too convenient." He's smiling as he says it, but it is irritating.

"Anyway," he continues, "so aside from learning about Games, viruses and malware, and system repairs, what're you up to?"

"Well, just being here is time travel. I'm just happy Milliways matches up my timescale to everyone else's.

"Actually, I'm on vacation right now. I get to do some actual Games, play a lot with my nieces, and just bum around Mainframe. It's almost over, though."

"Hey, sounds like Summer Vacation," says Mark. "We've got that coming in a few months. Which'll be nice, except that I'll have to put in more hours at the Burger Mart. Although, I'll be able to spend more time flying around as well. Best part of being a... what'd you call it? A FISS?"

"Yeah. Most of the vehicles in cyberspace fly, so it's not as big a deal there, but I've tried it and flying under your own power is definitely awesome. My brother-in-law and his daughter can do it."
