"It's Cubefall??"

Cue one more delighted Milliwayser, bounding down the stairs like Christmas morning.

Ava's just taken her habitual post-Arashmaharr shower (the assorted infernal smells, she's noted, really get under your fingernails), and she meant to spend tonight hanging around strategically, waiting for Zevran and/or Sameth and/or Sam Winchester and/or pyramid people.

However, the evening's plans clearly need modification.

Twenty minutes later, she has dismantled a chair and a couch and is midway through construction of her now-traditional Cubefall Lego fort. A mostly-neglected salad and Coke sit off to one side.

(As usual, she hasn't even looked at sample configurations.

She's too much of a control freak to give up her body voluntarily.)

Maybe if Andrew happens by, they can have a painfully symbolic conversation about change and new beginnings.

"Baby!"

Ava waves.

"Hey ... what're you up to? Happy Cubefall."

[stilljustandrew]

"Happy Cubefall! I am celebrating. This is my favorite holiday."

She examines the fort in progress, curiously.

[hadyougoing]

Dammit, Baby! This is Ava's favorite holiday!

Somewhere, is Andrew smiling and not sure why???

"I know this is only two walls right now," Ava says.

"But by ... dawn at the latest ... it's totally going to be a fort."

[stilljustandrew]

"A fort?" The mobile tilts sideways to examine it at an angle. "I see. A construction of protection and security."

Beat.

"Like me!"

[hadyougoing]

Ava's lips quirk.

"Well. It probably won't be as smart as you."

Not for lack of trying!

[stilljustandrew]

"That is true. I do not think it is possible to construct an artificial intelligence from these materials without an extremely high level of magic. But most structures do not require intelligence to serve their intended function."

Beat.

"May I observe while you construct? Or assist?"

[hadyougoing]

Ava smiles.

"Go for it. I could probably use a little assistance, actually. I know I made windows and a roof before, but maybe I had different pieces ...? Anyway, I'm strategizing."

[stilljustandrew]

The mobile circles the construction site, studying it from all angles.

And then reaches out with two forelegs to pick up a Lego block and snap it onto another, experimentally.
