It's been a long day, hell... a long week... a long life for Burton Guster. When he comes through the door, he's even more reserved than usual. Contemplative, even quiet.
"Cheeseburger and a large glass of milk, please?" He asks, sitting at the bar a long moment before noticing the terminal - already oblivious to the scattered Lego thanks to not-too-long-ago experiment in lightsaber building. If he'd have listened to Gus' suggestion phasers would have totally worked better. "What's this?"
He squints at the terminal and pushes a button, reading through the information until the choices come up.
A black leopard? Pretty sweet, powerful, graceful, sexy...
And if he was gonna be a robot, well... that would be pretty cool. He can think of a couple people he'd like to exterminate.
Being a female version of himself? It's confusing enough to try and meet women... he's not about to try being one.
About to give up, he hits the last choice... and, well... even Gus is not immune to the opportunity to be absolutely adorable.
He pushes the button and then picks up his burger and takes a bite. These things take time, right?
Until as the warm taste of a perfect meat and dripping cheese crosses an unfamiliar... muzzle? Gus looks side to side and then down where sure enough he's now standing on the stool with soft black paws holding him up on the bar with his nose buried in cheeseburger.
There are worse ways to spend the day.
[ooc: Puppy!Gus just wants love and affection... and cheeseburger!]

It's his duty, as a dog to tease said cat... and what better way than a good chase?
Scrambling up onto the bar with his uncoordinated puppy feet, Gus pounces on the orange furball, knocking over his milk in the process.
no subject
With an alarmed howl, the kitten scrambles away from him.
no subject
I'm gonna get you... stupid orange cat...
Letting out a meek puppy wuff, nearly tumbles off the bar in his pursuit.
no subject
Fur bristling, he slinks up to the dog and bops him gently on the nose. No claws, since he doesn't really want to hurt the pup.
Especially since he's pretty sure they know each other...
no subject
Damn it. Pineapple mango surprise? No real cat would dare go around smelling like that...
He wuffs gently, shaking his puppy head hard enough for one ear to fall over an eye. Not entirely convinced, he digs his nose into the cat's chest ruff - nosing up until he can smell his belly.
Yup, definitely Shawn.
He considers continuing the chase anyway, just because Shawn *would* be a cat by choice.
no subject
Gus?
As if to confirm his suspicion, he reaches out and softly pokes the puppy's nose again.
no subject
Okay, they might be in a little trouble.
no subject
fistpawbumping in no time.He follows the puppy's gaze to the small trail of havoc they've left behind them.
...Oops. My bad.
no subject
The puppy wuffs and then scoots around on the bar to face the mess - slowly walking toward it on unsteady paws.
no subject
Still... he commandeers a pile of napkins someone's left on the bar and nudges them toward the puddle of milk.
Okay, I should have thought twice about the whole 'lack of thumbs' thing.
no subject
In the process of nudging the paper toward the milk, the kitten ends up more of a soggy shredded napkin covered mess.
The puppy knows better and begins licking the puddle off the bar.
Hey, one of the benefits of doghood - nobody thinks twice when you just lick stuff.
no subject
There's a thump and a squeal as he falls off the bar.
... I'm okay.
no subject
You have to be smarter than the paper, Shawn.
no subject
Come down here and say that to my face, fluffy.
no subject
"Wuff!"
no subject
They love each other. Really.
no subject
So much love.
no subject
Dude, did you just BITE me?
Oh, it is SO on.
no subject
Not bite... more playful nip...
He nuzzles his head against the kitten's chest and then pushes a little harder - knocking him a bit.
no subject
... You know, there's still a perfectly good burger up there.
no subject
How the hell did it get so tall?
With a low, frustrated grunt, he put his feet up on the barstool - staring up at the padded seat. Yeah... no way he's making it up there.
no subject
Hm... yeah, I don't think that's happening. Unless...
He meows something to the bar, and a small set of puppy-accessible steps appears.
no subject
Tail wiggling, spinning, barely keeping him balanced on the polished bar as he noses up to the burger - reluctantly offering Shawn-cat one side.
no subject
He refrains from pointing out that they look like an interspecies version of Lady and the Tramp.
no subject
So, if they meet in the middle over a scrap of ground chuck, it's totally okay... right? It's not weird when you're animals.
