Happy Hour
Charles is tugging off his tie that goes with his elegant three piece suit as he enters the Bar, laughs and calls behind him, "Raven, Milliways is in my room. I'm going to get a drink before we head out!"
Then he walks through and tucks his tie into his pocket as he unbuttons his collar, he'll have time to change into something else before they go to the pubs.
When he reaches the counter, he grins as a note appears and he nods before shifting behind the counter and looking for some specials.
Happy Hour with Professor Xavier
Teacher's Pet
Cherry Champagne
Piece of Mind
If I can't figure out what drink you want then your drink's free.
Once the specials are up, he pours himself a glass of champagne and waits to see what Milliways will bring tonight.
Tiny tag: Charles Xavier, Jess Day, Gwaine
OOC: Charles is going to be actively listening to minds so please include thoughts in narration.
Open until I say its not, threadhop, enjoy and help Charles celebrate his degree.
Home after midnight and if you're interested in starting a new thread, ask me before tagging as this has been a great but busy Happy Hour.

"Wow."
It felt so close, so ... intimate, hearing her voice like that, and sharing in so personal a thought.
She steps back, smiling.
"Thanks for sharing that."
no subject
"You're welcome. I'm glad that I could as not everyone's comfortable with what I can do."
no subject
She understands.
Nick's a little like that, actually.
"They'd prefer to keep their own thoughts really locked up tight in a box, which is then hidden in another box that's stored in the walls. Or something."
She shrugs.
"I'm not like that. I'm ... kind of an open book, I guess."
no subject
As openness in the way she's open is something he rarely finds. It makes him want to know more about her.
no subject
She will probably tell you more than you want to know, if you don't stop her.
"Well, I'm glad you think so," Jess says. She grins. "My best friend ... I usually tell her everything. I'm not sure she'd believe me if I told her about this place, though."

"Imagine if Cece came here?"
Jess can see it now.
'Jess, where the hell are we.
'Wait, a bar that serves you anything you want?
'Oh my god, Jess, look at all these handsome guys. We should totally hook up with all of them.'
(These situations are probably a little exaggerated.)
"... yeah. I don't know if this place is ready for Cece Myers."
She laughs.

Since Jess is adorable and her friend sounds like a lot of fun as well.

"You are too sweet," she says, shy and a little awkward, but grateful all the same.
She's kind of a weirdo, though.
And she's so bad at the whole dating thing, considering everything she did with her boyfriend of six-and-a-little-bit years became ... well, sort of routine.

Charles would point out that he's not much better, being a telepath makes relationships complicated. Iris has been a revelation for him.
no subject
"I'd totally find a destitute hunchback with mismatched eyes hot if he was super honest. And sweet."
Maybe.
She laughs.
"Okay, maybe not that, but ... you know what I mean."
no subject
His mother was quite concerned with how things should be done, it was difficult for him to manage that along with his telepathy.
no subject
"It's kind of like my problem with people not singing out how they feel sometimes," she says, looking mightily serious about what might sound like a crazy suggestion. "You know? Sometimes the best way to get your emotions out really is to sing. I do it."
Which probably isn't surprising.
no subject
He knows people do that in movies and musicals but he's never actually seen it in real life.
no subject
"Oh, buddy. Stick with me and you'll definitely learn all about it."
Why, yes, that last bit had just been sung.
