OOM: "I don't wish to cause knots."
After some more sleep, Charles comes down the stairs and pats down his hair and adjusts his shirt, he feels he must be a mess, but he did get some rest.
At the counter, Bar provides a mug of strong tea, a paper, and a proper English breakfast. The food makes him smile as he was hungrier than he realized.
His life has gotten quite busy and strange and sitting here in Milliways makes him wonder what Iris will make of Erik. He hopes there can be a way for the two of them to get along and he needs to speak to Raven and Hank again. There's so much to do and much he still doesn't know.
OOC: Warning for nightmare imagery and heavy making out in the OOM. Last note, the thread with Iris comes first. *sighs at the telepath*
Charles is currently not actively listening to minds as he's reading his paper and trying to figure out what he's gotten himself into. Including thoughts in narration is wonderful and please let me know if he won't be able to read you. At the moment, thoughts are part of the background noise for him.

It is enough to cause a mild panic that he stems off quickly, permitting himself a quick scan of the metal in the area to soothe him. He is in Milliways, that room that Charles had procured, but Charles is nowhere to be found. Cautiously, he sends a tendril of a thought outwards to track him down before he does his best to put himself together. He doesn't wholly succeed -- his hair is a mess and his shirt is wrinkled.
Still, his stomach is growling and he promised himself that he would not let himself go hungry, not after the war ended and there was no reason for such things. He descends the stairs slowly, raising a brow when he catches sight of Charles in the distance. For a moment, he merely watches him as a stray thought slips by: How very domestic of him.

He hasn't gone far but he wanted some food and tea before another round of conversation.

When his tea refills, he hands the front page of the paper over to Erik, it's the Times of London.

It is a role that Erik certainly (likely) will not fill.

"I enjoy a quiet morning nothing more, nothing less, don't go reading too much into things. That's my job."

She's different, she's family. While Iris, who enjoys the mental connection more isn't human.

But she is here, and happy to be so.

In a heartbeat she is at his side and Iris kisses him without anything resembling preamble. "How do you fare?"

He closes his eyes and shares his memories of the last few confusing and intense days. From meeting with Moira in the pub at Oxford, the presentation, waiting on the ship and then Erik.

He closes his eyes and rubs her arm. Yes, it is so much. I feel it too but this is what I've been hoping for. Not being alone, more mutants.

"Important."
Important how? Confusing?

Erik does things to him from desire to seeing new possibilities for mutants, he cares and worries for him.

"Professor Xavier?" He asks just as he was about to take a seat. How did he really know this was even the man he had met? With all the potential of other worlds and times, this could even be a Charles from his future or past or...Hank really needed some sleep.

"Hello, Hank. I didn't know you had a door to Milliways."

Bar provides Charles with another mug of tea and some coffee and a donut for Hank.

"How odd, it was morning, early morning but morning when I found a door. You should try to sleep. Perhaps I can help you, tell me what's on your mind."
no subject
Even if Charles weren't a telepath he'd know Hank was about to add something else to that list of exciting things.
no subject
"It is. I remember when I first met Raven, suddenly everything seemed possible again. It's wonderful to see how the two of you are getting along."
